Trying out Omarchy by DHH and there is something incredibly fulfilling (and scary!) being table to change your OS just by talking to it in plain English. Since Omarchy is keyboard-centric I've changed the OS so it shows keyboard shortcut every time I DON'T use it. Very helpful.

@dhh Hotkey tips triggered by disuse is an excellent idea.

@dhh Love the keybind pop up. You should upload it as a plugin at
Also, I've done this with zero knowledge about Omarchy internals. Having that said, setting up Omarchy was not a smooth ride - but reporting all the bugs along the way. It's still a bit early for being this my main OS for work.
You can vote & discuss this on GitHub.

I'm having so much fun. Example: The dell I got is pretty good, I didn't go hard on GPU but got a 14 inch premium with 32gb of ram. The speakers are shit compared to my macbook. Very harsh and unbearably tinny even at low volumes. Dell clearly went for whatever could compete on loudness, not listening quality. I worked with grok to smooth out the native eq at the OS level and made some improvements to the bad speakers. Obvious some hardware limits hear to sound really good, but it stopped hurting my head. I love Omarchy

@dhh Oooohhhh. That's awesome. You should publish that as an Omarchy plugin. Hell, that should be a built-in (disablable) feature.

@dhh Great idea!

@dhh Super cool idea. I use omarchy as my workhorse so I constantly forget the key combinations. This would be quite nice.

@dhh This is such a great idea!

@dhh Gold. Following.

@dhh Awesome

@dhh Such a great and useful idea! Implementing it right now for my system.

@dhh Cool idea to get up to speed with all they shortcuts

@dhh Man this is a brilliant idea!!!

@dhh Great feature Jano, Should come ON by default until you master it

@dhh I’ve come across many great ideas like this. Is there any way to distribute these kinds of customizations?

@dhh Neat! I made a similar plugin too but more like a teacher popup, but now I like your popups a lot more! You should consider making it into a plugin and publish it to the plugin marketplace for others to use!

@dhh To be fair, you can change your OS just by talking to it in plain English in ANY Linux distro. All the big agent harnesses can do this.
@dhh Yes and no. You would probably hit the same roadblocks dhh did when he moved from Ubuntu (omakub) to arch (omarchy). But fair point.

@dhh I love the ethos of Omarchy.. But I am not sold on the tiling manager system. Decades of windowed UI feels more at home.

@dhh Working on bringing this idea into other forms, a context layer that is working on improving your efficiency by teaching you based on your computer use. A guide with a thousand shortcuts is not nearly as useful as using a handful of shortcuts for the 10 most-repeated actions

@dhh That's a great idea 💪

@dhh That should be a plugin

@dhh I love that keyboard shortcut suggestion!

@dhh Love this idea!

@dhh Awesome idea!

@dhh That’s a great idea!

@dhh This is awesome. Congrats!

@dhh That is brilliant

@dhh gnarly! that's really cool. love it.

@dhh Dylan...gimme that.

@dhh @BowTiedBull Wouldn’t touch Apple

@dhh It’s definitely well suited for a laptop in this regard. Trackpads suck and bringing a mouse along is clutter. Granted you can accomplish this with most distro really, but having it just plug n play is nice for those who are just getting their feet wet

@dhh That's a super-cool idea. In the end, for most of the basic commands should be a must. For the most complex ones it may be too noisy.

@dhh Ehmn, can you share your wallpaper? It's awesome
@dhh It's one of the builtin themes.

@dhh Meanwhile (same on Reddit):
@dhh

@dhh Wait until you hear about NixOS! You can change your OS using your agents and still understand what happens.
