@Fat_Electrician Not true. Not how it works. The person taking the application is not allowed to discourage a borrower. You fill out the application and represent your earnings. The underwriter reviews the file and requests income documentation. In the case of self-employment, 2 years tax returns

@Fat_Electrician you need to create a LLC company and then pay yourself as the owner of said company. then you get w2 from your company. the taxes are a little weird this way though but ways around that
