Trying to teach someone how to play Commander:

"Hey, this commander looks really cool!" yeah the commander is actually a whole bag of dicks for the other players to deal with.

There’s been so many commanders I consider building before a more seasoned player lets me know that they’re overplayed and have a history of hate lmao

I play Edgar and Krenko. I feel targeted.

It warps your perception of all of your financial decisions from "I'd like this thing, but for that money I could instead buy X card packs.." and now every thing involving cost or monetization is measured in how many packs you could have bought if you didnt need to feed your self

Honestly it's why I say start with 60 card. The old dual decks are amazing for learning the basics with and easy to upgrade for some flare down the line.

I just got back into MTG after 15 years and played my first commander game recently. I've been enjoying the Auntie Ool precon deck.

I don't have the money to spend on cardboard, so I'll stick with playing Brawl on Arena.

I just whip out Thrunn and call it a day. Can't stop the Thrunn train.

Just do pre-release drafts, you spend just as much and you have fun without the judgement
