I worked for TSA for a moment. People don't touch me I'll go though the scanners. The thought process just isn't there for most. One of the reasons we were using XRay all day long. Without protection of any kind! The scanners, the bag check lots of x-raying all day !

They also totally violate our fourth amendment rights. Scanners all need to be permanently shut down.

My neighbor that worked for TSA died from radiation poisoning/cancer back in 2013. She worked the baggage X-ray machine 5 days/week 40 hr. weeks. She was so cool too.

Same thing when u go to county jail... however you can refuse it and do the ol fashion way.. strip,squatt, n cough.. they also scann your eyes in the county and again tell them im not participating in that aswell...

Did you see the latest scanners they have in Qatar for e.g.? I refuse to go thru the x-ray ones in US & it’s not a problem here with a patdown, but in Qatar it took 4 layers of supervisors to get out of their scanners, which are new gen microwave tech 🙄

Always opt out and get the pat down instead 👍🏼

@patriot_pride Good time to remember the TSA was formed in response to our own gov’t and Israel doing 9/11 and instead of using the cheapest, least invasive and most effective screening method (dogs) they paid billions for radiation scanners to poison and scare you and make you obedient.

@AlboMP @PapiTrumpo it’s true Mr Albonese, at Perth Airport WA they wouldn’t grant me a pat down & gave me no option than to go through the cancer causing X Ray, the operator said he had cancer but had chemo.

I always opt for the pat down but problem is they make you wait right next to the millimeter wave scanner for a good 10-15 mins anyway… makes me wonder if it’s better to just go through and get the full blast for a second vs waiting next to the machine

Thanks for sharing! Opting out of the TSA scanner is our right, but it can add time to the screening process. Has anyone had any interesting experiences with this? Curious how TSA handles opt-outs at different airports.

You get x-rays, You shield the part of your body that's not being exposed, and the person goes into a completely different room.

How many think nothing of this? As a former x-ray tech, this is just crazy to me. Just insanity. I doubt those things scanning your stuff are shielded properly either.

Just like all of those studies that don't exist that the @FCC cites when they say non ionizing radiation is safe. Never mind that when you look at the electromagnetic spectrum microwave (some use to cook with) over laps with 5G in frequency. 🤦‍♀️

You get more radiation exposure the first 30 seconds at altitude on the plane than from these scanners. I don’t like them, but radiologically, they’re safer than the actual flight.

I have never gone through the scanner. Ive noticed: -about 90% of the time when you opt out, the next 10-20 people behind you DONT get scanned while you wait to get your balls cupped -foreign planes do not have these scanners, they enter US airspace Prez GWB friend owns them

Tell them you have a CGM and want a pat down.
