Tesla self-driving version 14.2.2.2 gave up five times due bright sunlight. Is this the robotaxi version? What happens when there's no one in the front seat to rescue FSD when it gets scared of shadows and sunlight? No one knows whether or not safe Level 5 autonomy is possible with vision-only. If vision-only is possible then all the actual robotaxi companies could just stop using their LiDAR and radar. If it isn't, $TSLA is doomed.

Here’s my first drive on Tesla FSD V14.2. For the first time on V14, I had zero hesitation or braking issues all day, and no interventions. From a driving perspective, and after 85 miles on and off-camera on V14.2 today, it now feels as comfortable, if not more so, than V13 did, but with all the capabilities of V14. What’s new in FSD V14.2: • Self-Driving stats section that tells you exactly how many Self-Driving miles you’ve driven and the percentage of FSD miles • You can now select speed profiles and parking preferences while in park • Upgraded the neural network vision encoder, leveraging higher resolution features to further improve scenarios like handling emergency vehicles, obstacles on the road, and human gestures • Big improvement (in my experience) to overall everyday driving comfortability • Slightly less strict attention monitoring at times In my opinion, V14.2 is good enough to be sent to every AI4 owner where FSD is legal, and for Tesla to encourage non-FSD owners/subscribers to try it. FSD did have a couple weird navigation decisions it made in my video, but that’s my only complaint. Overall, great version of FSD. 4K YouTube version of my video in thread below:

It was a very dark road, and in the distance there was a drunk, disoriented man cycling on the roadway, which is not allowed. The driver didn’t see him. The Tesla did. The car detected the situation early and automatically steered around the cyclist to prevent an accident. This shows how advanced the technology is. Millions of miles of data make this possible. The vehicle suddenly slams on the brakes, detecting a nonexistent “ghost” obstacle in the road. (See video) This issue first appeared with FSD v14.1 and hasn’t been resolved yet. 📍 GPS location: 28.240491, -81.606942 My nearby friend with a 2025 Cybertruck experiences the exact same problem at the same location. Notably, it happens in both FSD mode and regular manual driving—but only started after the v14.1 update. I just got back from over 3 hours of driving to and around Boston using Tesla FSD V14.1.3. No interventions. It was great. V14 is ready to be released wide in my opinion. It feels noticeably smoother and more comfortable in everyday driving compared to 14.1.2. That's especially impressive since I tested 14.1.3 in Boston at night, while V14.1.2 was only tested in southern New Hampshire (less challenging). I only noticed one minor hesitation at a stoplight and one issue during a curbside drop-off at the start of this video, where it circled the block once before pulling over in the correct area, but both were not a big deal. I had no safety issues tonight. There was also an interesting moment in the video where I accidentally set the curbside drop-off area in a dead end street. FSD took a little while figuring out how to back out, but it eventually did it without my help. If you'd like to watch the 4K version of this video on YouTube, I've linked that in the thread below.

We set this camera in a new spot last fall where a deer trail crossed a remote hiking trail. This video is a distillation of 7 months of footage totaling >2 hours. Suffice it to say, we were pleased with this spot and we hope you enjoy the footage! The camera was put up in late October. Most of the first videos captured were during the rut when several bucks were traveling on the deer trail. One buck, in particular, was a bruiser in terms of body size. And then as the rut winded down, the number of bucks on camera dwindled and does started using the trail more frequently for the rest of the fall and winter. Of course, wolves traveled on both the hiking and deer trail throughout the fall and winter. In some instances, wolves traveled down the hiking trail and then stopped to smell deer tracks on the deer trail. We suspect they were assessing how fresh the tracks were and therefore how close a deer might be. In some instances, wolves veered off the hiking trail and ventured down the deer trail, and in others, they continued down the hiking trail. Notably, we put this camera here because this is where the Cranberry Bay and Nashata Packs overlap. You can see both packs on cameras. Cranberry is the larger pack and Nashata is the smaller pack with a whitish wolf with green-ear tags. As mentioned above, we distilled >2 hr of footage into a 6 minute video. We did not include much of the nighttime footage, which was mainly of a snowshoe hare that spent a ton of time in front of the camera and deer traveling at night down the deer trail. We included most wolf footage in the video but there were a few nighttime sequences we excluded because they weren’t great quality. Interestingly, though, we did not get a ton of other wildlife on this camera other than wolves and deer.

Please be careful and never let your guard down while using Tesla’s FSD. The terms are very clear when you turn it on: “FSD requires a fully attentive driver who is ready to take immediate action at all times.” You absolutely need to pay attention!! Even the latest version 12.3.6, which is very good, can be very dangerous. I was testing in Chicago on Lower Wacker Dr two weeks ago and FSD almost killed me. It was going to drive straight into a barrier at 22mph. It could have caused a serious accident. This happened not just once, but twice. Second time going 27mph. Please be careful and never let your guard down while using Tesla’s FSD. The terms are very clear when you turn it on: “FSD requires a fully attentive driver who is ready to take immediate action at all times.” You absolutely need to pay attention!! Even the latest version 12.3.6, which is very good, can be very dangerous. I was testing in Chicago on Lower Wacker Dr two weeks ago and FSD almost killed me. It was going to drive straight into a barrier at 22mph. It could have caused a serious accident. This happened not just once, but twice. Second time going 27mph. JOSHUA’s full speech for UNESCO x SEVENTEEN: Celebrating Youth, Creativity and Well-Being Together #조슈아 🦌: im joshua, and im honored to speak today on behalf of the 13 members of seventeen. 🦌: before anything else, i want to share that all our members truly wish they could be here today. they r sending all their love & support to everyone in this room. 🦌: today marks seventeen’s 3rd visit to unesco headquarters, a place that is always meaningful to us. from the vibrant energy of the 2023 youth forum, where we celebrated youth solidarity, to the profound honor of our 2024 appointment as unesco goodwill ambassadors for youth, every moment remains vivid in our memories. 🦌: upon our appointment, we shared with unesco a core belief: that young people should be empowered to lead change. this vision also aligns closely with the un youth 2030 strategy, wc aims to ensure that all young people, in all their diversities, are empowered as equal partners, leaders, & rights holders. driven by this conviction, seventeen proudly committed to launching a global youth grant scheme entitled “going together: for youth creativity and well-being”. this initiative was designed to provide young people wt resources, mentorship, & platforms to turn their ideas into meaningful actions. deeply moved by their passion & creativity, we knew we couldnt stop there. we expanded our commitment to help scale these efforts & support an even greater impact. 🦌: supporting this journey has been deeply valuable to all of us. we are incredibly proud of everything they have accomplished. pls join me in a warm round of applause for all the young leaders who made these achievements possible, both here wt us in person & joining us online from around the world. 🦌: beyond the numbers, what really matters r the stories. we have seen young people use music and dance for healing, art for mental well-being, & sports to build confidence. they are transforming their communities in ways we never imagined. 🦌: two things amaze us most. first, no project was done by just one person. they came together, joined forces, and made it happen as a team. second, they did not need someone to tell them what to do bc they are the ones who know the challenges of their communities best. they were the ones who found the best solutions. 🦌: together, these experiences showed us that young people already have the answers to change the world. they just need someone to believe in them. at the same time, we know that creating change is never easy. it comes wt moments of doubt, immense pressure, & sleepless nights. for seventeen, that journey feels deeply familiar. 🦌: as 13 individuals sharing one dream for over a decade, we faced our own uncertainties, having to reinvent ourselves, embrace challenges, & push beyond our limits. thru those experiences, we learned that growth is never achieved alone. it thrives on trust & the belief that we are stronger together. yet moving as one team has never meant walking the exact same path. thru our unit & individual endeavors, each of us grows in our own way, making seventeen more complete as a whole. 🦌: it is for this very reason that we have promised to move forward as one team. we see this beautiful dynamic reflected in your work as well. across diff countries & cultures, each of u is pursuing a unique path. while ur projects address diff challenges, together, u r creating a better world for us all. so lets keep going together! 🦌: thru the journey of the global youth grant scheme, we realized that there are dreams everywhere. i think they just need a gentle nudge, a small voice that says, “we believe in you.” we want to be that small voice.

This is so cool. Tesla can take footage from its massive vehicle fleet and synthetically create new driving scenarios to test edge cases and improve safety for its self-driving software. Tesla can also stitch footage from all 8 cameras into a fully drivable 3D environment—letting engineers steer, brake, and navigate as if they were on real roads, all powered by neural network–generated video streams. • Can simulate 8 Tesla camera feeds simultaneously — fully synthetic. • Used for testing, training, and reinforcement learning. • Allows adversarial event injection (e.g., adding a pedestrian or vehicle cutting in). • Enables replaying past failures to verify new model improvements. • Can run in near real-time, letting testers “drive” inside a simulated world.

Nicolae Miu trial. Video from the 2022 incident where Miu stabbed five people killing one, 17-year-old Isaac Schuman. Miu was using a snorkel and googles to find a missing cell phone when the young group began harassing him. In the video you can see the group gather around him and two separate girls put their hands on Miu pushing him away. The camera pans away and returns to some of the guys pushing Miu into the water and attacking him. At this point Miu holds out a knife and one of the guys runs into it while trying to attack Miu.
