@globalnewsto I was just missed this nonsense today and happily it was resolved before my day downtown ended. Not impressive. The subway is jammed at all hours now and, as you've noted, couldn't be less consistent in terms of reliability and service.

I just asked David Hunter about the other side of the next global bust, and he laid out a macro equation the financial system simply cannot solve. He projects central banks will be forced to print upwards of $50 trillion to save the system, driving inflation to 25% and pushing interest rates into the high teens. But with global debt swelling to $450 trillion, the math completely breaks down. As he told me: "We can't service our debt at 5%. I don't know how we're gonna service it at 15 or 20%." Still visiting us most days - especially at Meal Times, as you can see here. He has made his peace with the Kittens, but still likes to take the Higher Ground and not be in amongst them! Even though he lost some games, it wasn't like he was getting outplayed or something - he was still competing head on head with most of these young players, only in the final moments some unfortunate things are happening. It's a hugely inspiring thing how well he is playing at this age!"

I found the GOAT of blue collar builders. Scott Sans built goat tracking software with Claude Code and his story is incredible. Scott owns a land clearing company called Hudson Valley Forestry. One of their services is targeted grazing. Some slopes are too steep for machines, and some have high pressure gas lines underneath. So to clear the land, they bring in 60 goats and the goats clear the whole thing. But to scale, he needed a way to track the goats. And his current software said no to his goat module feature request. So he built the GOAT software himself... with no previous experience coding. You need to hear the full story from him. But one of the best parts of the conversation was when I asked him what the biggest impact has been since he started building his own software. "The more I build, the more I can be at home with my kids. And that's better for me." No software company would have built any of this for him. But Scott doesn't need a dev team anymore. He just needs the domain expertise.
