๐ŸŽจ Now we can use ZBrush (like) sculpting tools with Gaussian Splats! Just made GPU-accelerated sculpt brushes for real-time splat editing splats: ๐Ÿ–๏ธ Smudge - Push splats like digital clay ๐Ÿค Pinch - Pull splats inward (SHIFT shortcut) โœ‹ Move - Gentle repositioning, SHIFT for straight lines ๐Ÿ“ Flatten - Create clean surfaces in any direction ๐ŸŒŠ Relax - Smooth noisy areas, SHIFT to roughen/scatter โœจ ALT restores splats to original positions - like a undo brush! All running on GPU compute shaders for smooth performance even with millions of splats. Finally treating Gaussian Splats like real sculpting geometry ๐Ÿ”ฅ #GaussianSplatting #3DGS #unity3d #gamedev #nerf #Photogrammetry #ZBrush #worldlabs

Is Voxels the future of 3D Gaussian Splats? 3DGS's days may be numbered... I dove into NVIDIA AI Developer's SVRaster over the past week and made a first impressions video. Link to full video: #computervision #3d #3DGS #VFX

I've made Gaussian Splat Coloring Book for Vision Pro. Still rough on the edges, but working in splats on AVP is super rewarding, and now I'm thinking about full blown Gaussian Splats editor instead of just a coloring book :D

You can animate flowing water in splats now with more splats. And yes it also works with lava ๐Ÿ˜‚

I've been implementing multi-object combined LODs (actual LODs this time) for gaussian splats. It is insanely cool, due to the way I select LOD's I *always* render the same amount of splats no matter how many splats are in the scene. This scene has 108M total combined splats.

How important is the image resolution when creating gaussian splats? I will let you decide with this comparison video. Here is my methodology: The source is a 4k video drone shot of a beautiful church in Brazil. #Computervision #3D #VFX (1/3)

Continuing my 3D Gaussian splats pipeline iteration... This time I get closer. Hereโ€™s a quick test comparing training steps: 12 million splats + 60k steps vs. 6 million splats at 40k steps. The number of splats clearly impacts the level of detail. But I keep in mind the trade-offs when rendering 3D GS in real-time.
