最初にシド・ミード氏デザインのこの ∀ガンダムが発表された時には 「なんだこのデザインは！？」と、 カッコ悪いと批判的意見がありました。 しかし、実際に放送開始してみれば、 実際に動いている∀ガンダムを見たら 「カッコイイ！」と評価がガラリと変わった。 それはこのOPを見ればわかるはず。

Turn A was designed by Syd Mead of Blade Runner's fame. His analysis of the RX-78 is pretty interesting to view. Ironicly enough, his first attempt for the Turn A ended up being used as the SUMO. The Turn A was a bit of a controversial design then but today I say is pretty loved.
