These robots actually raised operating margin of a Jpnese family restaurant like crazy. Should keep using it

I think these robots are cool and like them at the last sushi place I was at that had them. But I see why they would not last in certain areas of Chicago

They have this at a Mexican restaurant on NMB. Love it!

ahh the $14,000 robot. 2 sit-down restaurants in my region bought one, used it for a couple years . Both are now sitting in storage collecting dust. Used prices on ebay are around $8,000ish last i checked

However many thousands of dollars spent on that robot for it to have dirty shelves?

This would go well with zero cashiers, and a line of frustrated people who don't want to order via the kiosk.

I like the human contact when my order is brought to the table. I would sure miss them.

It fits the atmosphere… not in a good way imo. It’s like everyone is racing to be the least personable experience possible. Everything is automated. Nothing is personal. Everything is grey and boring now 🙃

They have these in United Airlines clubs, they just get in the way.

I think if you have a large restaurant these could be part of the solution - but I think they should be more used for bussing vs food delivery.....I've seen them in a few other restaurants, and it's even more pushing non-tipping

Not at McDonalds but a local Mexican restaurant has one. Was a little put off by it because it's not a big place but if nobody wants to serve, I understand the need for one.

"freshly prepared meal" "my partner will be out to check your dining experience" if my store is anything to go by, only one of these statements will ever be true and even then only during a store inspection day
