Unfortunately, they cannot go back to the old app or how it worked because they need to bring in children who grew up on TikTok from ages 8 to 12 to download the app and become the next users of Twitch.

I'm not going to BLAME twitch for a decline in my ccv, as it could be caused by many things. however, when i get MULTIPLE user reports that they're being moved to other streams WHILE HAVING MY CHAT OPEN on mobile, I'm going to put some of the blame on them.

So, instead of undoing a change where the people that used the app already resulted to use it less and hate it, it's better to keep it for potentially new users that may not even like it, with a new change

The only time I launch the Twitch app anymore is to see if they’ve reverted back to the old layout.

@iamjoshrowe Might I suggest Frosty. It's what I've been using since the update. It's like the old app, but fewer features (no channel points).

It has gone past that "sticker shock" as initial change is hard but this is past just that. It is genuinely a very bad experience. I find myself hardly using it anymore because it freezes video often and closes out of the stream I was in frequently.
