Anyone who has bought and merged businesses knows the idea that there will be economies of scale is a red herring. There maybe marginal gains but they are far outweighed by integration costs.

Honestly I have run my own business and worked at senior level in other companies, dealing with banks in the fiscal matters …. If I had not been able to answer such questions it would be the end of the business or my job this beggars belief
