I've got 5 heelers, and 2 donkeys, they beat 8 coyotes. Donkeys are death on yotes, I didn't intervene, let them handle it. 2 dead coyotes later, no more problems. I hung the dead ones on the fence. The donkeys were still tearing at them for a week.

This is so tragic. Dog lover here, but a little 5 YO was killed by dogs she had grown up with her whole life. May she rest in peace. On a similar note, a Rottweiler that belonged to an FBI Agent friend of mine attacked his wife. They had raised the dog from a pup. One night, they were watching a hockey game, just lounging around around when the dog, who was laying at their feet, jumped up and attacked, biting the neck and jaw region of his wife. It was horrific. She had surgery but is scarred. Obviously, they put the dog down. Any dog experts in the group care to comment on what makes a dog snap? We see humans snap all the time too... #California

The dog, a one-year-old English bulldog named Bruce, had allegedly drowned in a pool. By the time he was taken out of the pool, rigor mortis had set in. The owners were reportedly never contacted that the dog had drowned before arriving to pick him up. They were then shown his body in a plastic tub. I was out on a walk this morning and suddenly this guy runs across the road. I was worried he was hurt as his front leg was dragging. Then I look over and see two others behind a fence - one looked like a baby - and their legs were also dragging. Two questions: 1 - is it common to see coyotes out in the open in the Phoenix area? I was in a business development, so it caught me off guard. 2 - do coyotes normally drag one of their legs?

On a rain-soaked morning I found an old golden retriever near a country bridge, holding a red leash in his mouth. He wouldn't come to me and he wouldn't let go. Every time I got close he pulled the leash back toward a drainage tunnel and stared into the dark. When I finally crawled in after it, I understood why he wouldn't leave. A smaller senior dog was tangled behind a fallen branch, and he had been standing guard over her the whole time. He didn't drop that leash until she was safe in my arms. They ride home together now, and there are two beds by the heater. They only ever use one.

Two heroic stray dogs rescued an injured dog from the middle of the road by dragging him to safety. The family dog in Changzhou, China squeezed out from the crack in their front door and was hit by a car, becoming stranded in the middle of the road. Many cars passed by as the pup laid in harms way, but it was two stray dogs who finally stepped in to help. After several attempts, the two strays were finally able to pull the injured dog out of the street. Thankfully, the injured dog was soon reunited with their owner, who confirmed the pup survived and only suffered minor injuries.
