Autonomous region of Kurdistan (Iraq) The Iraqi federal military has yesterday prevented Kurdish farmers from cultivating their land. As the footage shows: brute force was used to prevent the Kurdish farmers from reaching their lands. This happened near the Shanagha (Shenaxeh) village of Sargaran (Sergeran) - this is one of four villages that regularly faces these challenges by the Iraqi federal government. In short: During the arabisation process of Kurdish territories under the Iraqi government (Saddam Hussein) and the genocide of the Kurdish people - Iraq has gifted these lands to Arab settlers. With the downfall of the Iraqi Ba’ath regime - these settlers should’ve had their claims nullified, yet the new Iraqi government failed to do so. Now these Iraqi settlers continue to claim these lands for themselves while Kurds are not allowed to cultivate their lands. This is a repeated process, happens every year before spring, during spring and in the harvest season. The Iraqi federal government has recently issued a bill that will resolve these problems and reverse the demographic-changing processes by the Iraqi regime, yet they weren’t implemented. Good news: local mediation and the steadfastness of Kurdish farmers has resulted in them being allowed to cultivate their lands. I’d like to underline: what the Iraqi federal army is doing there is a violation of the Iraqi Constitution and a violation of the area of responsibilities of the Iraqi military.

#IRAQ | Pro Shi'a and Iranian-backed Iraqi groups such as Kataib Hezbollah, Asaib Ahl al Haq, Harakat al Nujaba, the Badr Organization, Sayyid al Shuhada Brigades, Jund al Imam, the Khorasani Brigades, and other PMF factions mobilized in the streets carrying AnsarAllah banners and images of Yemen’s Abdulmalik al Houthi even after the Iraqi government announced it would retract the terror designation mistakenly applied to the Houthi movement. The listing had appeared on the Justice Ministry’s official gazette website on November 17 alongside groups such as Lebanese Hezbollah, all accused of involvement in terrorist acts. Iraqi officials said the reversal followed heavy pressure from Iran aligned political blocs and armed groups who warned that labeling the Houthis and Hezbollah as terrorist organizations would harm Baghdad’s relationship with Tehran. Public criticism also grew since many Iraqis see the Houthis as part of a broader resistance front supporting Palestinians. Prime Minister @mohamedshiai ordered an investigation into how the error occurred, and the government confirmed that the Houthis will be removed in the corrected publication. A key reason these Iraqi factions rallied so forcefully for Hezbollah and AnsarAllah is that they themselves feel pressure from the President Donald J. Trump Donald J. Trump administration’s push, supported by Israel and other anti Iran regional players, to weaken or dismantle the PMF and replace militia structures with a unified professional army and police force. By mobilizing in large numbers, they were also signaling to Baghdad that they retain the ability to rapidly bring supporters into the streets, effectively warning that if they can turn out this kind of force for Hezbollah and AnsarAllah, they could respond even more strongly if the government moves to sanction or diminish them. Another notable aspect is how prominently Abdulmalik al Houthi now appears in imagery displayed alongside figures such as Iran’s Supreme Leader and slain Iranian or pro Iran commanders, reflecting how dramatically the events since October 7 have elevated the status of the Houthi leadership and reshaped regional perceptions.
