This dog had just been abandoned by the person it trusted most. Even after being left behind, it kept running after the owner’s car. When the car stopped at a red light, the poor dog caught up and stood beside it, almost as if it was begging to be taken back home. But the moment the light turned green, the car drove off again. The dog was left standing there alone, confused and heartbroken. A man nearby had seen everything. He couldn’t just leave the dog there, so he got out, gave it some water, and decided to take it home. But adjusting to a new family wasn’t easy. The dog spent most of its time curled up in a corner. It barely ate or drank and didn’t seem ready to trust anyone again. The man gave it space, but he also kept showing it kindness. He cleaned its ears, cared for it, and slowly started bringing out its playful side. One day, they even had a little noodle-eating competition, with a roast chicken as the prize. But the man jokingly grabbed the chicken before the competition was over. The dog was clearly not impressed. Little moments like this slowly helped it feel comfortable again. Before long, it was eating, playing, and finally starting to feel like part of the family. Then the couple had a baby. And that’s when the dog showed just how special it really was. It followed the baby everywhere and always seemed to be watching over him. But the couple noticed something strange. Whenever the baby crawled toward the hallway or kitchen, the dog would gently stop him and guide him back to one particular corner of the living room. At first, they couldn’t understand why. Then one day, the wife watched closely and finally figured it out. The hallway floor was wet. So was the kitchen floor. Those areas took longer to dry after cleaning, making them slippery for the baby. That little corner of the living room was the only completely dry and safe place. The dog knew. After being abandoned by the person it loved, this dog was given a second chance. And in return, it became the baby’s most loyal little guardian. ❤️

A Human in Snoworld The moment I crossed the portal, it happened so quickly I could barely comprehend it. The light changed, the air too, and my body felt a subtle shift. The next thing I knew, I was standing in the middle of another world… and the portal was gone. I had arrived in Snoworld. The air was different from the very first moment. It wasn’t oxygen, but it was made of something semi-compatible with my body. I inhaled cautiously, letting it fill my lungs little by little. It was denser than Earth’s air, with a humid texture, like soft mist. It had a peculiar taste—something between mint, minerals, and popping candy. Each breath gave me a light tickle in my throat, which made me cough a little before I fully adapted. I felt lighter. My first step was clumsy, almost like a small hop. The ground beneath my feet was soft, yet firm. I moved with more ease than I expected, feeling about a third lighter than normal. Each movement flowed more smoothly, and even though my muscles didn’t quite calculate the momentum correctly at first, I found it fascinating. It was a strange joy—relearning how to walk, how to balance, how to move in a completely different place. I felt a slight headache from the pressure change, along with a sound that seemed to come from the planet itself. It was a deep, enveloping hum, accompanied by distant chimes, as if they were coming from the air, the ground, even inside my chest. As if the planet had its own vibration, a pulse. I looked up—and my breath caught in my throat. Two moons. One was massive, nearly full, glowing like polished white marble. The other was smaller, sliding slowly across the sky. They were so close I could see the details on their surfaces. They were majestic. The sky had a soft glow, with no visible sun, yet bathed in a diffuse light that seemed to come from everywhere. There were no defined shadows. Only light, as if the air itself shimmered. Around me, the landscape looked like a dream. I saw colors my eyes had never seen before. Crystal trees that chimed when they moved. Plants with iridescent hues, shifting color depending on the light’s angle. The ground had a texture between stone and moss, and small glowing creatures slipped between the roots, barely revealing their shapes before vanishing again. And then… I saw them. Beings. Inhabitants of Snoworld. Tall, short, thin or robust, but all of them shared one indescribable trait: they felt like they were part of the planet. Some had bark-like living skin. Others looked as if they were carved from polished stone or glowing crystal. Some moved with the grace of animals, with large, curious eyes. They stared at me in wonder, as if I were an unexpected apparition. And without saying a word, they began to approach—cautiously, slowly, but without fear. One of them muttered something in a strange language, pointing at me. They looked me up and down. I suppose my clothes—normal on Earth—seemed bizarre to them. They wore no garments. —"What a strange being… its skin has multiple textures," one seemed to say, clearly referring to the fabric covering my body. And then, among them, I saw a different figure. A girl, with a radiant, friendly expression. Her skin was light blue, and in her eyes there was a comforting gleam. She stepped forward without hesitation, stopping just a few paces from me. She looked directly into my eyes… and smiled. I mean… I’m not a furry or anything… BUT... in that moment, my heart definitely skipped a beat. And in that instant, I understood everything. There was no need for words. The gesture was enough. It was a welcome.

Going outside at night for me usually isn’t anything. I used to hang out with friends all the time. But when I live in North Carolina by the woods it was a different story. Another time. I kept hearing something or someone scratch at my window. I slept on the second floor and there wasn’t any trees or anything that could have rationally caused it. So my 18 year old imagination started sprinting wildly trying to explain what I was hearing. The sounds of nails on glass dragging and screeching couldn’t be ignored but I couldn’t see what could have been causing it either. It wasn’t even an old window, it was one of those newer vinyl ones I could hear it and it sounded like it was coming from the window yet I saw nothing. I walked around and decided to go outside. I grabbed a smoke and was puffing along while looking up at the house to see what I was hearing. Anyone who lives by the woods know that wildlife rules at night and I could hear all sorts of things scurrying around the leaves and the grass as if I was surrounded. But I did hear subtle footsteps, like that of a human walking. I froze and thought to myself maybe it was just a neighbor walking a dog or something but I looked around I saw nothing. Yet I kept hearing these steps coming closer but I couldn’t tell where it was coming from. But I did see what looked like a pair of red eyes among the foliage so I imagine it was some kind of animal but what animal could mimic the steps of a human? Could it be a bear or a coyote?
