Nepal Army is one of the most professional militaries in the world. It has rescued people from inside the tunnel after 1 week which is remarkable. Nepal was crippled by old, thug communist leaders but now things are better than in the past.

Rescue specialist Arnold Dix has been remotely helping Nepalese authorities with underground search operations after the number of deaths caused by flash floods on the Nepal-Tibet border exceeded 1,000. He told Yalda Hakim he has reviewed the engineering plans and says he believes there are still 'Goldilocks zones' - places where people can survive for several days underground if they have access to water. 🔗
