It was truly a blessing for me and my wife to travel with The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square to Brazil. I am grateful for this assignment as it is something I never dreamed of doing. Accompanying the The Tabernacle Choir in my home country, in the very city where I grew up, was an incredible experience. These concerts were invitations to come unto Christ, the true source of hope. I am thankful for the Choir and Orchestra for sharing their talents with thousands this week in Brazil and around the world.

I have called for a debate in Parliament on the appalling decision to axe BBC Singers & cut 20% of BBC Symphony Orchestra & Chorus, BBC Concert Orchestra & BBC Philharmonic Orchestra jobs. This will have devastating consequences for the musicians affected & for the sector Now is the time to be speaking up for classical music.

This is Shostakovich piano concerto no 2 This performance is conducted by his son and his grandson is playing in the orchestra. He wrote this for his son in the Soviet Union in 1957. Beautiful evening. Got to listen to it watching my kids and dogs play soccer.
