Eagle Sports gun range removes Flock cameras over privacy concerns ----- So the cameras were in place since February. Someone didn't make a viral video about it until now (5 - 6 months later). If you can make the time, go to a Flock camera near you. When you get to the camera, if it's near something "sensitive", like a gun range, or a marijuana dispensary, a bar, anything that the public should know about, make a video and post it. Tag me if you like, and/or some of the other flock pages you follow so we can help bring attention to the video. Maybe we can put pressure on the camera owner like we have with this business and get the camera taken down.

This woman received a summons to appear in court for theft based on flock camera evidence that she was stealing packages. The problem for law enforcement is that she had her own cameras set up, which absolutely proved that it wasn’t her. The officer refused to show her the evidence at her door because he said that she was arguing with him and not being forthright. When you look at the camera footage, it is two totally different people. He absolutely was refusing to cooperate with her. He was convinced that the camera footage showed her, even though she had camera footage to prove that it wasn’t. This is the danger of these cameras. Law enforcement in some cases is using and abusing them . Ultimately, she was able to prove her innocence using her own camera footage, but what if she didn’t have her own cameras set up?

“He’s got nothing left of his two front tires.” AIR1, Edmonton’s eye in the sky, was on the scene when a black SUV fled from police. The vehicle drove left of centre to avoid Downtown Division officers. The SUV continued to drive recklessly through residential neighborhoods – all of it caught on camera by AIR1. When the vehicle was finally stopped, the occupants fled on foot. What they hadn’t counted on was AIR1 tracking their movements and relaying the information to ground units. Canine and Patrol took all three suspects into custody as they attempted to hide. Nice work, everyone!

Shortly before midnight, we had multiple reports sent in of an extremely bright green flash in the sky to the north. We went back in our database of Aurora cameras to find the culprit… and here it is!! The Manistee camera had the best angle as the object streaked across the northern sky. You can even pick up on a faint auroral glow at the same time! Not only that, but you can see the streak left behind from the flash after it occurred. Time was 11:13 PM EDT and approximately 35 seconds, October 29th, 2025, for those who’d also like to check any home security cameras.

Mathieu Kassovitz on why 'La Haine' (1995) would have been horrible had it been in colour instead of Black & White: "Interviewer: Was it essential that it was three kids? Kassovitz: I needed a trio because when you’re with a friend, you have a discussion, and it ends fast because either you agree, or you don’t, but you cannot argue all the time. Three people can disagree all the time because it bounces from one to the other. I wanted one guy that’s the funny one in the middle; the political one that wants to get even with the society; and then the other one who’s trying to hold it in because he knows what real violence is. It was a trick, like the black and white is a trick too – to make it universal, a story that happens everywhere, so you don’t know if it’s Paris or Mexico or Brooklyn: it could be anywhere. Interviewer: How does black and white make it more universal? Kassovitz: When you look at black-and-white footage from the war, it changes when you see that footage put in colour. I did the voiceover for 'Apocalypse', a fantastic documentary series covering wars, for which they colourised all these black-and-white images and rendered them in HD. In colour, all of a sudden the footage becomes very personal – you see your grandfathers there, it’s not just ghosts or an artistic image, it could be today. What black and white does is bring poetry into reality. That’s why when you do a movie about poverty where you don’t have control over the environment and things are supposed to be ugly, it’s very difficult. It costs a lot of money to make it look good. The Human Illusion: Persistence of Vision Your eye doesn’t actually see the flash in real-time. Instead, the blinding light overloads your retina. Your brain stretches that tiny microsecond burst into a 0.1-second afterimage. Essentially, you’re seeing the “ghost” of the flash left behind in your own eye. In other words, the only reason the human eye “sees” the flash from an explosion like that is because our brains create an optical illusion.
