At the time of my Type 1 diabetes diagnosis, I felt like my world was turned upside down. Breakthrough Update: Today, Vertex announced that they are beginning their Phase 3, or pivotal trial for VX-880, a stem cell-derived islet therapy. A pivotal trial gathers the data required for an FDA submission. This therapy is for people with type 1 diabetes (T1D) and hypoglycemia unawareness and severe hypoglycemic episodes. This is a HUGE first for the #T1D community as it is the first time a scalable cure for some people with T1D is entering this phase. Breakthrough T1D and the T1D Fund are incredibly proud to have supported this work in cell therapies—a top priority for our organization. We want to congratulate our partners at Vertex and thank all the patients who have participated in clinical trials. Your courage and commitment are inspiring. Learn more here:

$sava simufilam patient with AD for ~8 years entered study at a 16 MMSE - Performs Sax Solo!!! Just got an absolutely incredible update on patient number 1. He recently put on a Jazz performance with his band. He is playing saxophone. One patient that started the trial as a 17-18 was diagnosed with AD in 2016. A 16 MMSE was probably diagnosed with AD around 2016 as well... so 8 years with the disease and he can do a VERY GOOD SAX SOLO? WOW!!! Patient 1 Refocus ~Nov 2022 - May 2024 : 16 MMSE to 20 MMSE They said they will be sending evidence of their pill as well.

Apple made a 7-minute ad with a downloadable 50+ slide deck for students to “convince parents” why they need a $900 Macbook. Ad missed so hard that Apple pulled it a day later (4th ad it recently pulled including vapourware Apple Intelligence and iPad crush ad). Just bring back those old Mac vs. PC ads. *** Link:

Thanks to the support of the United Kingdom, around 58,000 people have completed training as part of Interflex. In a few weeks, our warriors will complete their training and head out to defend Ukraine.
