I’ve just arrived in Makerfield to help get Reform UK candidate Rob Kenyon elected in this absolutely crucial by-election. 🇬🇧 If I were a resident of Makerfield, I would be incredibly cross, enraged and angry that local people are being dragged into a by-election purely to further the career ambitions of one man. Let’s not forget — if he wins, this could trigger yet another by-election for Mayor of Greater Manchester and potentially a Labour leadership contest that could ultimately decide who becomes our next Prime Minister. I personally believe the next Prime Minister of our country should be chosen by the British people in a General Election — not effectively decided through political manoeuvring, internal party games and one constituency being used as a stepping stone. Thoughts on the Holborn and St Pancras by-election. I find it genuinely fascinating that in a parliamentary seat as diverse as Holborn and St Pancras, only 27,309 people out of 70,457 eligible voters actually voted. That means 43,150 people did not vote, or 61.24%. Labour won the seat, with 12,292 votes. However, this means only 1 in 6 eligible voters chose Labour, or 17.4% of the total eligible electorate. A repeat of the 'loveless landslide' Labour won in 2024, when they won a massive majority even though only 20% of the UK voted for them. Here's the most interesting statistic, In 2024 Keir Starmer received 18,884 votes. Labour's candidate yesterday Sagal Abdi-Wali received 12,292. That is 6,592 fewer votes, a drop of 34.9% on the 2024 Labour total, which confirms Sir John Curtis' observation a few weeks ago that people aren't really taking note of the massive drop in Labour's support, even when they win a by-election. So, Reform might be traversing a manufactured bad patch at the moment, but they have now adopted the ultimate election-winning strategy previously employed by the Lib-Dems - SEATS, NOT VOTES. This is how the Lib Dems were able to win 72 seats in 2024 even though they received less votes than Reform, who only ended up with 5 seats, despite receiving over 500,000 more votes than the Lib Dems. However, fear not my fellow Reformers 🙌 I don't know if you noticed or not, but when Reform announced those two record-breaking donations a few weeks ago, they also announced that they would use the money to hire 400 campaign managers so they could (professionally) target 400 winnable seats. This is how we're going to win the next election my fellow patriots, there are 650 parliamentary constituencies but we only need to win 326 for a parliamentary majority. Ignore the bullshit polls from YouGov etc. By targeting 400 seats which are all absolutely winnable, that gives the party a little bit of leeway, which means even if Reform don't win in over 70 of those seats, Reform still wins a parliamentary majority 🙌💪😃

The arrogance of Andy Burnham is absolutely staggering. He isn’t stepping into Makerfield because he suddenly cares about the people there or wants to fight for the area. He’s doing it to further his own political ambitions and position himself for a future run at Prime Minister. Makerfield deserves better than being treated as a stepping stone in somebody else’s career plan. And let’s not forget… Makerfield voted around 65% to leave the European Union. Yet Burnham has already been forced into his first major U-turn after previously backing closer ties with Europe again. Labour simply do not listen. They say one thing to get elected and another once they think they’re safe. This by-election is historic and people have a real chance to send a message loud and clear to Westminster. If you live in Makerfield, or know anybody who does, urge them to vote Reform UK. A vote for Labour is a vote for more of the same. A vote for Reform UK is a vote for real change, democracy and putting British people first. The political establishment are taking voters for granted yet again.
