"UFO Whistleblower" David Grusch's case against Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office for $2.5M begins today. It's reported (though I'd respectfully contest the claim) that "medical records" were released to journalist Ken Klippenstein through VA-FOIA. (h/t UAP James for the video)

- I am curious, from an attorney's perspective, why Sheriff incident reports, which are not exempt due to HIPPA, are considered "medical records"? I was surprised by your answer. Thank you for your time. (Records for reference:

I was asked and responded on Twitter and wanted to made sure everybody is aware of this. A lot happened with all the information from the 2013 Citizen Hearings on UFO Disclosure (produced by the unsung hero, ). We would certainly NOT be where we are today with the UAP transparency topic if it weren’t for what was accomplished in 2013. A singular example is full Veteran medical benefits for a heart surgery needed - physical damage caused by "close proximity to a UAP". The government not only finally admitted (in an unprecedented moment) to knowledge of the physical damage caused by the UAP to a serviceman; but It was acknowledged that John Burroughs was indeed present at the time of the Rendlesham Forest UFO incident - and that was physically damaged by that encounter. The issue was they were covering up the damage caused by the UAP encounter by classifying his medical records and even his presence at the UAP encounter site. So thanks to Congressional pressure from the Citizen Hearing on UFO Disclosure - via the direct participation of Senator John McCain and others - they did the right thing in a historic move! The unclassified his medical records and provided him medial care. John got the life-saving surgery that he needed! That’s just ONE concrete example of what was achieved because of the Citizen Hearing on UFO Disclosure. There are SO MANY MORE examples. We must learn our history to know where we are going with UAP transparency. Here is a brief clip I filmed that talks about this…

President Donald Trump last month directed the Pentagon and other federal agencies to identify and release government records regarding “alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs), and any and all other information connected to these highly complex, but extremely interesting and important, matters.” The announcement comes after decades in which government agencies said they were no longer studying the phenomenon. “They were lying,” said John Greenewald, who has been requesting government documents on UFOs since the 1990s through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), in a new podcast. “It doesn’t matter if you’re a skeptic, a believer, or like us, somewhere in between. They were lying about their interest in UFOs after the 1969 closure of Project Blue Book. The Department of Defense, the NSA, the CIA, the DIA — they don’t want you to know the truth.” Project Blue Book was the Air Force’s public investigation of reports of UFOs. It ran from 1952 to 1969, but its origins date back to 1947, when Lt. General Nathan Twining, tasked with investigating the subject, sent a secret memo to the head of the Army Air Forces stating, “The phenomenon reported is something real and not visionary or fictitious.” Greenewald filed FOIA requests with the Navy for all photographs designated as UAP in its holdings. The Navy acknowledged possessing 78 such photographs. It released none of them. In an appeal decided just days before our conversation, the Navy reaffirmed that 100 percent of the imagery is classified. “They can do it if they want to,” Greenewald said. “You go back decades from these sensitive platforms over war zones that are releasing this imagery, redacting or blurring the sensitive coordinates or whatever heads up display information that they don’t want out there. You can easily redact or blur. It’s 2026. We can do that and do it relatively quickly and shield all that sensitive information.” He points to a video released by the Pentagon of a Russian jet spraying fuel on a US drone, a classified platform. Drone footage of strikes on Iranian targets, drug trafficking boats, and other military operations flows to the public regularly from sensitive platforms. “It is absolutely topic-specific on their cover-up of this information,” he said. “And then the question is, why is that?” The three famous UAP videos known as FLIR, Gimbal, and Go Fast were eventually released, partly because Greenewald’s FOIA requests forced the Navy to acknowledge that it considered them unclassified. Internal emails obtained through FOIA showed that his specific case number created the bind. The Navy then proactively released the videos and responded to his request the same day. When Greenewald requested all additional UAP videos beyond those three, the Navy responded that 100 percent of the remaining videos are classified. “You’ve already admitted that three UAP videos were unclassified and you finally released those. Now you’re claiming that 100 percent of the rest are all classified. That part didn’t make sense.” Among the most striking documents Greenewald has obtained is a briefing document from the UAP Task Force. The document lists potential explanations for UAP encounters. Some are visible. “Unknown weather or other natural phenomena” appears as one possibility. But the first and third potential explanations are blacked out.... Two tyrants get schooled on citizen rights. Mind blowing what the do not know. Outside a Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office facility in North Carolina, an independent journalist began filming from a publicly accessible county parking lot. Two deputies, one of which named including Sergeant McNigley quickly approached him. The officers demanded to see his ID, claiming he was acting suspiciously by filming patrol vehicles and insisting the area was "private county property." Class is in session from that point on. The journalist stood his ground on Identification: He calmly educates the officers on the law, reminding them that North Carolina is not a "stop and identify" state. Without reasonable, articulable suspicion of a crime, law enforcement cannot compel a citizen to present identification. Refuting the "Private Property" Myth: When the deputies claim the parking lot is private county property, the journalist correctly counters that public facilities funded by taxpayers are subject to public access and First Amendment protection when visible from public space. De-escalating the Pressure: Despite repeated attempts at intimidation and circular arguments about authority, the journalist remains composed, eventually forcing the officers to admit he is not being detained. In the end, the officers are forced to let him walk away—proving once again why understanding your constitutional rights is your greatest defense. The journalist did an incredible job refusing to bow to unlawful demands and standing tall for civil liberties. This is how it's done.
