Ruto will come preaching that Kibaki served 10 years, Uhuru served 10 years, and therefore he must also be given 10. That argument assumes Kenyans are stupid. We are not. Kibaki earned his second term. Under Kibaki, money circulated. Jobs existed. The cost of living was manageable. Kenyans could breathe. Uhuru earned political patience. Under Uhuru, development was visible across the country roads, infrastructure, projects you could touch and see. Whether you liked him or not, the state was building. Ruto has earned nothing close to that. Under Ruto, life is more expensive, taxes are punitive, and the economy feels like a punishment. The government looks less like a national administration and more like a closed ethnic cartel power concentrated around his tribe, friends, relatives, and loyalists while ordinary Kenyans suffer. This is not leadership. It is capture. It is extraction. It is survival of the connected while the rest are told to “be patient.” Kenya is not a monarchy. Ten years is not a birthright. A term is earned by performance, not demanded by comparison. Ruto will be a one-term president. And after him, Kenya must learn this lesson permanently: No president should ever be allowed to destroy the country for two terms.

This is NOT your project this is Uhuru or Kibaki project, most ignorant comment repeatedly over and over again. At the coast we have ongoing projects that were designed during Kibaki time , execution started during close to end of Uhuru tenure and major work is currently ongoing . Did you expect the new goverment to drop old projects to start new ones to be seen to be working? Uhuru continued with Kibaki project of Isiolo Moyale highway when he took over from Merille to Moyale . Did that make him irrelevant? Current goverment broke ground Mazeras Mariakani dual carriageway, designed during Uhuru time . Did you want current regime to start another project? Kenyans are so much used to MPs abandoning CDF Projects to start fresh ones they also expect a President to do the same. Even a market requires more than 24 months , even local brew requires quality time to be made. At the coast, we are very happy that projects planned under Uhuru are being completed, and we are not complaining. Dongo kundu bypass concept was part of 1974 masterplan. Kibaki regime finalised the designs, Uhuru signed the project with Jica in fact current President signed it as DP last 2 years the two bridges were being completed and even now road markings and lighting is still ongoing and that is how projects work. Uhuru regime finalised Mombasa Mtwapa Kilifi designs , current regime is working round the clock to deliver. As always I choose to remain an optimist
