It has come out that Russia has been supplying Iran with targeting intelligence to strike U.S. interests across the globe. • We need to sanction every single drop of Russian oil. • It’s time to provide Ukraine the aid it needs to defend itself from Russian ballistic missiles. In return, we should accept their public offer of low-cost interceptor drones. Iran has been able to kill Americans and terrorize civilian infrastructure in the region using its Shahed-136 suicide drones, which are very easy and cheap to mass-produce in a short time. 🇷🇺🇺🇦 Zelensky has stated that over the last 4 days Russia has launched roughly 1,500 Geran drones into Ukraine with over 800 being Geran-4/5 variants (which are jet powered). He stated that interceptions of Russian jet powered drones are minimal because of the increased speed and altitude of the drones. Ukraine relies heavily on anti-air gunners and interceptor drones to shoot down Russian Gerans. In previous years, the Russian Geran-2 drones (which were most prominent) were low flying and had a slow cruising speed. This made shooting them down with cheaper means easier. However, these new Russian jet powered Gerans fly too high and fast to be intercepted by anti-air gunners and interceptor drones. This forces Ukraine to have to utilize missile interceptors or fighter jets leading to more successful impacts. Eventually Ukraine will find a solution, but until they do Russia will keep hammering major cities across the country for months to come. For Ukraine's sake, I hope they find a solution before winter.

Ukrainians understood long ago that NATO would not close our skies. All of these attacks would have been impossible if we had sufficient support from the world in crucial areas: long-range capabilities for our security, truly effective sanctions to prevent Russia from importing critical components for drone and missile production—especially microelectronics—and political decisions that could ruin Russia’s will to wage this war. A Brave1 developer has created a technology that automates 95% of the interception process - from launch to target destruction. The system has successfully undergone combat testing in Kharkiv region. The operator monitors targets in real time, selects a target, and authorizes the strike. The system then independently guides the drone to the target, autonomously identifies it, and carries out the interception. Today, the Commander of the Air Forces reported on the operations of our fire teams, the downing of "Shahed" drones, and countering Russian missiles. We can now say that our air defense has been strengthened. The German Patriot system has arrived in Ukraine, and I extend my gratitude to Germany and the United States for this step. We will be able to do more in the skies. While much work remains ahead and this is far from guaranteed protection, nonetheless, it means more power for Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense says Alexa Spatium’s primary targets are Russian Geran-3, Geran-4 and Geran-5 attack drones, as well as Shahed-131s. The high-speed platform can also engage reconnaissance UAVs, helicopters and other aerial targets. Beyond its interceptor role, the system was designed with the capability to engage selected ground and surface targets, giving it considerably greater mission flexibility than a dedicated anti-drone interceptor.
