Russia carried out a massive strike on Kyiv and its suburbs with 175 drones, more than 14 cruise missiles, and at least two ballistic missiles. In total, the Russian army launched more than 440 drones and 32 missiles across Ukraine last night, President Zelenskyy said. The cities of Kyiv, Odesa, and Zaporizhzhia were under attack, as well as Kyiv, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, and Mykolaiv regions. Currently, there are 75 injured and 15 killed in total. The nature of the destruction indicates targeted strikes on residential buildings — many buildings were damaged by direct hits. The video shows a married couple sitting near a residential building, a section of which was destroyed by a Russian missile. Their son is under the rubble.

Today in Kyiv, a Summit is taking place that has brought together 24 countries, primarily from Europe. All of our European neighbors are represented: Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Moldova, Romania, and Belarus. We all support the aspiration of the Belarusian people to free themselves from Russian interference, and we know that Russia is now trying to drag Belarus even deeper into this war against Ukraine. We value every expression of support from Belarusians for a free Ukraine, and we know that the day will come when there will once again be good-neighborly relations between our states – based on the real independence of both Ukraine and Belarus from Moscow. This is exactly what we discussed today with Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya and her team, who are visiting Kyiv. Ukraine has never been a threat to Belarus. And we are grateful to those Belarusians who stand with Ukraine – now, when the fate of both our independence and the independence of every nation that borders Russia is being decided.

Good morning from the Global Sumud Flotilla. We were on alert last night because of increased drone activity, but all is well today. As of this morning, we are 39 boats sailing together (a few had to be left behind in Sicily), and I’ve been told six more are ready to meet us from Greece on Wednesday. I’ll record a proper video update later today, but we’re now just FIVE DAYS from the ‘orange line’ where we **could** face Israeli interception, and ONE WEEK from the shores of Gaza. This morning we’ve been doing more training for interception. As always, the emphasis is on non-violence. Gaza, we are coming 🇵🇸❤️

We’ve now entered quarantine and are prepping our families and logistics. We’re L-13 days from launch at the NASA's Kennedy Space Center! “At 6:00 this morning the Fire Department was alerted to a report of a fire at 2086 Anthony Avenue. We arrived to find heavy fire in two buildings and very quickly transmitted a 2nd alarm. It eventually became a 3rd alarm, bringing more than 40 fire and EMS units and 150 fire and EMS personnel to the scene. We had fire throughout two buildings, and unfortunately, we did have two fatalities,” said Chief of Department John Esposito. “We did unfortunately have a car parked on the closest fire hydrant. We’ve seen that now a couple of times in the last week throughout the City. We all know that we should not be parking on fire hydrants and when you park on fire hydrants, it slows us down. When we’re fighting a fire, seconds count.” The GNY Red Cross and NYC Emergency Management are on scene to assist displaced residents. FDNY Fire Marshals are investigating the cause and origin of the fire.

Despite black students representing more than 25% of students in North Carolina less than 1% take advantage of trade school training - masonry, electrical, plumbing, welding, carpentry, and auto repair. Instead they are encouraged to focus on college preparatory classes regardless of their aptitude or interest. Regardless of race, at least 30% of students in America would be fair happier and wealthier learning a trade than attending a junior college studying liberal arts.
