Ukraine has announced the first combat use of its domestically developed FP-7 tactical ballistic missile. President Zelensky is now calling for faster production of the missile, which has a range of 200 km and can carry a 200 kg warhead. Despite the ongoing war with Russia, Ukraine has continued expanding its domestic defense industry with support from European countries. The FP-7 could be used against high-value Russian targets including energy facilities with more destructive power than loitering munitions. Its ballistic trajectory could also make it difficult for some air-defense systems to intercept.
