Ukraine’s FP-9 ballistic missile, capable of reaching Moscow, could be ready for launch by late autumn - Fire Point CEO Iryna Terekh "The FP-7 short-range ballistic missile (300 km) is already ready and is undergoing codification. The FP-9 long-range ballistic missile (850 km) is also, you could say, in the final stage. But the final stage still involves a series of tests," Iryna Terekh added. 📹: FEDORIV VLOG

🚨🇺🇦🚀 Fire Point says it is actively testing its longer-range FP-9 ballistic missile, with the weapon now in the flight-test phase. According to Fire Point CEO Iryna Terekh, the missile’s extended range means future military testing could potentially continue through use against Russian targets on Russian territory. The statement suggests the program is moving beyond early development toward operationally relevant trials. 🔥 If FP-9 progresses successfully, it could significantly expand Ukraine’s domestically produced long-range strike options. A Ukrainian ballistic system would add a faster and harder-to-intercept layer to Kyiv’s deep-strike arsenal, complementing cruise missiles and long-range drones while reducing dependence on foreign-supplied weapons.

🇺🇦 Ukrainian defence company Fire Point announced that it is moving to test strikes with its new FP-7 ballistic missiles on Russian targets. The FP-7 is comparable to the US ATACMS missile but costs half as much, with a range of up to 300 km. Fire Point is also developing a new FP-9 ballistic missile with a range of up to 850 km. This will allow Ukraine to strike targets in Russian territory that were previously out of reach.

‼️ Ukraine’s Fire Point company says it is moving to the next stage of testing its new FP-7 ballistic missile, including test strikes against targets in Russia. Chief designer of Fire Point company Denys Shtilierman Denys Shtilierman on the FP-7 ballistic missile: ▪️ FP-7 is an analog of the American ATACMS missile, but costs about half as much; ▪️ Range: up to 300 km, depending on the weight of the warhead; ▪️ The missile, based on the 48N6 used in the S-400 air defense system, features a modernized airframe and new electronics; ▪️ The launcher is simplified and built on a standard trailer, allowing for quick launches and easier concealment of the system; ▪️ Fire Point manufactures all components itself - from engines to the flight controller - while the warhead is manufactured externally on order; ▪️ Production begins even before official codification in order to avoid delays in the number of units produced. The company is also developing a new FP-9 ballistic missile with a range of up to 850 km, which would allow Ukraine to strike targets inside Russia that were previously out of reach. 📹: Channel 24

Fire Point CEO Yryna Terekh demonstrated the FP-1 deep-strike drone and its launch system. She said the FP-1 is designed for long-range missions and can carry up to 60 kg, while the externally similar FP-2 has a shorter range but carries up to 200 kg. At launch, a small booster containing 4.5 kg of fuel lifts the drone to roughly 20-25 meters before separating, with a mechanism directing it away from the propeller. #Ukraine

❗️Ukraine has developed new ballistic missiles FP-7, which is a clone of the Soviet 48N6 missile from the S-400 air defense system. This ballistic missile is capable of flying up to 300 kilometers, and its testing has already taken place. Testing is now moving to a new stage — said co-founder and chief designer of the defense company Fire Point, Denys Shtilierman: “We already had a flight. Now we are moving on to testing on our ‘dear’ neighbors.”

Additional details have been released about Ukraine’s new domestically-produced long-range cruise missile, dubbed the FP-5 “Flamingo” which is manufactured by Fire Point. According to an interview with Chief Technical Officer Iryna Terekh, the “Flamingo” has entered serial production with the current capacity to produce one missile per day, with hopes to build roughly seven-per-day by October and enter mass production by January. The CTO of Fire Point also confirmed earlier reports that the missile has a maximum range of 3,000km with a 1,150kg warhead, much bigger than most average cruise missiles and easily able to strike a majority of air and other military bases throughout Russia.

FP-5 Flamingo missile developers used an actual cooking-pot lid to physically block its CRP antenna from seeing satellites during testing, Fire Point CEO Iryna Terekh says. The antenna is designed to operate under active jamming and spoofing. An engineer once forgot to remove the lid before an engine test, causing it to be sucked into the intake. The engine was shut down in time and survived. The battered lid was later turned into a 20-kg rotating “Order of the Clumsy-Handed.” #Ukraine

Fire Point showed one of its production sites for Ukraine’s FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles and FP-1/2 drones, with journalist Serhii Peichev filming the manufacturing process. Chief designer Shtilerman said Flamingo output depends on orders, engine export bureaucracy with Europe and the US is gradually being resolved, and the key breakthrough was tactics: “now they reach targets.” He also said Fire Point sees little sense in using its 300 km small ballistic missile when an aircraft-type drone can deliver the same 200 kg warhead to 380 km for $40,000+, instead of $600,000 for 300 km. The company is also producing and stockpiling missiles for the future Freya anti-ballistic air defense project. #Ukraine

🇺🇦🦩🚀 Ukraine's domestically produced "Flamingo" cruise missile now features its own jet engine, developed in collaboration with the same design bureau behind the AI-25. The AI-25TL variant was actually the first engine integrated into the FP-5 Flamingo. 🗣️ According to Iryna Terek, CEO of Fire Point, the missile has already been tested with five different engine setups, and field tests in the combat theater are currently underway to lock in optimal performance. Ukraine’s Fire Point is fine-tuning its domestic Flamingo cruise missile, testing five different engines in real combat conditions to pinpoint the best setup.
