Following a Russian drone attack, shells, mines and drones stored at the site began detonating in a series of secondary explosions. Thirty-seven people were killed. Most of the victims were residents of a nearby nursing home. Commenting on the tragedy, Volodymyr Zelensky said that Defense Forces ammunition depots simply should not be located in residential areas. “After what happened in Vyshneve, another incident like this is absolutely unacceptable,” the president said.
