A story of a miracle: A Russian FPV drone destroyed the car of Maksym, 22, from Sloviansk, Donetsk region. His arm and leg were completely shattered. There was nothing left to save, doctors said. On February 21, Maksym was driving his girlfriend home from work. He worked at the post office. He heard an explosion. Despite losing consciousness, Maksym managed to get out of the car and saw Ukrainian Defenders running toward him to help. Maksym was first operated on in Sloviansk. He underwent high-level amputations of his arm and leg. He was then transferred to Dnipro with a fragment lodged near his heart. Doctors at the cardiology center removed the shrapnel to save his life. To save Maksym, more than six liters of blood products were transfused at Mechnikov Hospital. 🇺🇦 A Ukrainian soldier was sitting alone in a trench when a Russian T-72B3 tank moved in front of his position. The fighter assembled and prepared an FPV kamikaze drone, launched it, and struck the rear part of the turret, disabling the tank. 🔺 After the Russian tank crew exited the damaged vehicle, they opened intense fire toward his trench. At that moment, a Ukrainian drone operator in a neighboring trench, who was covering his comrade, dropped munitions from a bomber drone, detonating them and neutralizing the tank crew — one was killed on the spot, while two others were wounded and later captured by members of a mortar unit.

This is Ruslan, 20 years old. The Ukrainian Defender is now in the sepsis intensive care unit of Mechnikov Hospital. Ruslan was on artificial lung ventilation for 36 days. Several days ago, his tracheostomy cannula was finally removed. During this time, he almost completely lost the ability to speak. Almost all of Ruslan's organs were damaged, but thanks to intensive care specialists, he survived. Ruslan says: "The fear of death and everything behind it is a fear for life, I will live a long life." The overwhelming majority of them are residents of Crimea. Here is an example - the story of 26-year-old Ukrainian Pavlo Pshenychnyi: He served in the Anti-Terrorist Operation Zone (ATO), where he sustained a severe injury in 2019. After treatment, Pavlo settled in the village of Kalanchak, on the left bank of Kherson region. On 24 February 2022, the village was occupied by Russian forces. Pavlo ended up in the Russian army after being told he was facing a 12-year prison sentence. He wanted to serve the sentence, but Russians told him that his "prison" would be the army - and according to Pavlo, he had no other choice. In the summer of 2025, he was captured by Ukrainian Forces.
