Today, Ukraine reportedly launched a campaign to take out Russian data centers — and Yandex was the first to get hit. Russian websites and online services have stopped functioning reliably across the country.... Many are completely inaccessible, while others are experiencing massive disruptions. Meanwhile, the geniuses of Russian intelligence — or rather, Yandex — have blurred all four of their data centers on online maps. How exactly that's supposed to help them is anyone's guess. I take partial blame along with the rest of the industry. We did not communicate the difference between a data center built in Virginia 20 years ago and what we're building now. Most data centers today don't use more water than a golf course, and so that's a huge package of misinformation. Additionally, everybody has to bring their own power. The major benefit to that is we need more power in America. Not just data centers, we need overall power. In Utah for example, I have to bring my own power and build power not only for the data center, but to give back to the community to keep power costs down. That's a major benefit. That's gonna happen across the country.

First responders have put out the fires in Kyiv – at the Lavra and the Mystetskyi Arsenal. I am grateful to all the services working at the sites of the strikes, and to everyone who is helping.
