⚫🟢🔴 Multiple global movements in addition to the Freedom Flotilla are converging to break Israel’s siege on Gaza, where famine looms and aid remains blocked. ➤ Global March to Gaza: An initiative led by unions and human rights groups from over 54 countries - participants plan to begin arriving in Cairo on June 12 and begin marching toward Rafah on June 13, with a major rally planned on the Rafah border for June 15. Over 10,000 people—including activists, doctors, lawyers, and journalists—have signed on, coordinated by Saif Abu Kishk of the International Coalition Against Israeli Occupation and Irish delegate Karen Moynihan. The march will seek to negotiate Rafah’s opening with Egypt to deliver 3,000 stranded aid trucks. Medical and legal teams are providing logistical support, and organizers emphasize this is the first real land convoy to Gaza since the start of Israel’s genocidal campaign. ➤ Tunisian Resilience Convoy (Steadfastness Convoy): Departing June 9 from Tunis, Sousse, Sfax, and Gabes, the convoy includes over 7,000 participants—1,700 Tunisians, 300 Algerians, and others from Morocco, Mauritania, and Libya, carrying medical supplies and food for Palestinians of Gaza. It too is set to arrive at the Gaza border around June 15. It is being organized by Joint Action Coordination for Palestine and backed by groups like Tunisia’s General Labour Union and Medical Association. It has great support from Tunisian ultras groups such as Leaders Clubistes and Bad Blue Boys Juniors, and travels through Libya and Egypt toward Rafah, aiming to break the siege and deliver aid. ➤ Freedom Flotilla Coalition (Madleen Ship): A ship carrying 12 activists—including Greta Thunberg—and symbolic aid like baby formula and medical supplies set sail from Catania, Italy, on June 1. Now just 150 nautical miles from Gaza, it faces interception threats from Israel, enforcing a naval blockade since 2007.
