Zelensky in Sweden: Because of the war in Iran, the supply of Patriot missiles has become more complicated. On Tuesday I sent a special letter to the President of the United States and to Congress, outlining every aspect of what is needed — how a sufficient supply of Patriot missiles and systems could help bring this war to an end. I believe Europe must have, here at home on its own continent, all the capabilities necessary for protection. We need our own European ballistic missile defense — in sufficient numbers and with sufficient capabilities.

2 Russian S-400 surface-to-surface missile strikes on a Ukrainian HIMARS GMLRS launcher near the village of Serednii Burluk, Kharkiv Oblast. This was presumably one of the HIMARS launchers which has been attacking Belgorod City recently. Also, I believe this is the first confirmed footage of Russian S-300/400 missiles being used in a surface-to-surface format, confirming what I and others have been saying for years about these missiles being used this way. Coordinates: 49.88832, 37.26744

Tonight, our air defense warriors destroyed 167 aerial targets used by Russia to attack Ukraine. I thank everyone who defends our skies. In total, there were 183 attack drones and 11 missiles of various types — “Kinzhal,” ballistic, and cruise missiles. The strike mainly targeted the Poltava region, particularly Kremenchuk. And this is just one night. This month alone, Russia has already used around 2,800 attack drones, nearly 3,000 guided aerial bombs, and 140 missiles of various types against Ukraine. Moscow has been doing this for four years now and is constantly increasing the number of strikes. That is why it is so important for all decisions on tightening sanctions against Russia to be made in the coming weeks. We need price caps that will stop this war. This video might show the impact of the 4 modified S-400 ground-to-ground missiles in Kyiv that I reported on last night. As you can see, the explosions are much smaller than what you would expect from an Iskander-M ballistic missile. However, it is also possible that these are explosions from of secondary detonations from the previous Iskander-M ballistic missile strikes. Unfortunately, we don't really have any good footage of S-400s impacting to compare it with.

Today, the Commander of the Air Forces reported on the operations of our fire teams, the downing of "Shahed" drones, and countering Russian missiles. We can now say that our air defense has been strengthened. The German Patriot system has arrived in Ukraine, and I extend my gratitude to Germany and the United States for this step. We will be able to do more in the skies. While much work remains ahead and this is far from guaranteed protection, nonetheless, it means more power for Ukraine.

Russia continues to place far greater hope in missiles and in killing people on the frontline than in diplomacy. This must be changed. The key to this is to continue supporting Ukrainian air defense, and the most important element today is protection against Russian ballistic missiles and other types of missiles. Now, because of the war in Iran, the supply of missiles for Patriots has become more problematic. On Tuesday, I sent a special letter on this matter to the President of the United States and the United States Congress – a detailed letter covering all aspects of what is needed and how the supply of a sufficient number of Patriots – missiles and systems – can influence the end of the war. Today, we have a new support package for Ukraine, and the most important element of it is the Swedish Gripen fighter jets, which will strengthen our air force. Overall, this year, next year, and our future cooperation are all about building Ukraine’s fleet of Swedish Gripens. This will help us guarantee the security of Ukraine and Ukrainians. Today, the Ulf Kristersson and I also discussed the details of our cooperation across all other areas.
