This is further proof of the cynical use that the Hamas terror organization makes of the residents of the Gaza Strip as a human shield for its murderous terror activities,” the IDF adds. The IDF and Shin Bet say they are continuing to operate at Shifa to expose Hamas’s tunnel network in the area.

Hamas terrorists installed intelligence gathering equipment and positioned observation posts in the building in order to monitor the location of IDF troops in the area. As part of Hamas' preparations for IDF operations in the area, Hamas terrorists planted numerous explosive devices near the building, intended to harm IDF troops. The Hamas terrorist organization also established underground infrastructure adjacent to the building, from which terrorists direct attacks against our forces. Prior to the strike, precise measures were taken in order to mitigate harm to civilians, including advanced warnings to the population, the use of precise munitions, aerial surveillance, and additional intelligence. The terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip systematically violate international law, brutally exploiting civilian infrastructure and the Gazan population as human shields for terrorist activities. JUST IN: The IDF says it dismantled nearly 7 miles of underground Hamas tunnel routes in northern Gaza. The military released a 3D illustration mapping out the tunnel network, showing the scale of what troops say was uncovered during a major engineering operation. UPDATE: Israel has dropped leaflets to Palestinians in Gaza City telling them to leave immediately. As you can see in the video below, many are heeding that advice. It appears they are about to enter the northern parts of Gaza to root out Hamas. Please pray for the innocent. IDF announcement sent to civilians of Gaza City: The IDF calls for the evacuation of all civilians of Gaza City from their homes southwards for their own safety and protection and move to the area south of the Wadi Gaza, as shown on the map. The Hamas terrorist organization waged a war against the State of Israel and Gaza City is an area where military operations take place. This evacuation is for your own safety. You will be able to return to Gaza City only when another announcement permitting it is made. Do not approach the area of the security fence with the State of Israel.
