Pay attention to the strategy Mark Carney is trying to execute with Canada's auto industry: "We view the future of automotive as being low emission, electric, and connected. We’re seeing this as an opportunity, working with Japanese companies, working with Korean companies, working with German companies, working with other companies, the Detroit Three as they come to it..." The precieved threat is that US automakers and manufacturing will leave Canada, especially if there is a CUSMA renegotiation. US automakers have recently took huge EV related hits and pivoted. Other automakers won't expand into Canada just based on having a share of Canada's auto industry. So Canada is implementing a tariff (credit) system for local makers and introducing all the ZEV mandates that will favour these automakers thus pushing more of the supply of products to them. Also the billions in ZEV industry related subsidies. The bet is that any US based companies leaving will be replaced by Asian companies and that when Donald Trump is gone the US will pivot back towards EV transition and pricing mechanism and Canada's auto industry will be positioned for that.

Now they're using Chinese factories to build their own cars cheaper and ship them back home. VW says it can produce an EV in China for half what it costs anywhere else. Nissan is targeting 300,000 exports from China by 2030. A Chinese-made Chery became the best-selling new car in the UK in March. China can produce up to 50 million cars a year but only sold 24 million domestically last year, so factories are desperate for volume. Chinese car exports have gone from under 1 million in 2020 to over 7 million last year. Meanwhile, some European factories are running below 50% capacity. It is absofuckinglutely over for Canada's auto industry. This is a Chinese EV manufacturer Chery which wants to open shop in Canada, and this is one of its cars. Absolute luxury, smart interior, huge screens, 180km on pure electric and can do over 600 - 800 miles with extended range. This is just one of their models. No one even makes anything close to this in North America. Mark Carney reduced the tariffs on them to 6.1% and half need to be under $35k. They will open state of the art manufacturing facility operated by robots - not Unions, and import most of everything they need from China.

After over a year our Government has not had a single formal talk with the US regarding USMCA? Mexico has had them, but not Canada. Canadian industries are right to be concerned. Mark Carney was installed to usher in an agenda that Canadians never voted for. He is not working for Canadians. If you are still under the belief that Carney is going to make "Canada strong" you are a complete idiot.

And who are the Canadian partners? Flavio Volpe’s Arrow EV? Who? Listen carefully to the end of the clip. He is basically saying the old auto industry of the 2000’s & 2010’s will be dead, the future is only electric because he says so. Canada is done for under this Government.
