While the processor, AI and 4K display might lull you into thinking that scope is like your smartphone, important to remember that scope is an ingenious purely analog mechanical device like your bicycle! Handle with care! Don’t break it!!

The inside of the scope has a lot of cables and the most delicate cable is the white one with all the optical glass fibres as thin as hair, carrying the bright light source. Excessive bending, pulling back tight on loop can break those fibres. Be gentle!

@drkeithsiau @Samir_Grover @BilalMohammadMD @LumirKunovsky @AnaDugic @DCharabaty @AriBensonMD @AdvaniRashmiMD @AasmaShaukatMD @tberzin Very nice! I *do* wonder what happened to that scope head to get it taken apart like that, but very helpful. I try to remember that F = "Free wheel" for turning the brakes off.

@drkeithsiau @Samir_Grover @BilalMohammadMD @LumirKunovsky @AnaDugic @DCharabaty @AriBensonMD @AdvaniRashmiMD @AasmaShaukatMD @tberzin 😂 no I didn’t break it. It was a demonstration piece from the company and I took the opportunity to make a quick educational video with it.

@drkeithsiau @Samir_Grover @BilalMohammadMD @LumirKunovsky @AnaDugic @DCharabaty @AriBensonMD @AdvaniRashmiMD @AasmaShaukatMD @tberzin Wonderful video! Thank you for teaching it! How does the scope stiffening mechanism work ? Understand the theory but similar video will be very helpful !

@Achintya_singh4 @drkeithsiau @Samir_Grover @BilalMohammadMD @LumirKunovsky @AnaDugic @DCharabaty @AriBensonMD @AdvaniRashmiMD @AasmaShaukatMD @tberzin Thank you. The variable stiffness mechanism must be a company secret but roughly works by strings that tighten the metal rings half way down the scope to limit the natural flexibility of the scope. It is best to use it only sparingly, not all the time. A flexible scope is best.
