It will only set you up for failure, or it will force you to chase shortcuts. Shortcuts usually lead to broken dreams. Take your time with whatever goal you might set for yourself. You can actually TRADE your cards on Steam. 💰 So you're not just opening packs, building a deck, playing a few games and forgetting about your collection. There’s an actual reason to care about the cards you own. And before you think “yeah, but I have to spend money to get started”… Nope.
