Pradeep Bhandari just expose the truth behind Anand Ranganathan's "10,000 litres of water" claim. Many people think this means ethanol plants use 10,000 litres of water to make 1 litre of ethanol. That is not true. Modern ethanol plants use only about 3–5 litres of process water to produce 1 litre of ethanol. Most plants also use Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) technology, where the water is cleaned, recycled, and reused instead of being wasted.
