Today Evgeny Viktorovich Prigozhin came to us to take tests and talk about the course program. Despite the fact that our classes were more than educational, cool, informative - I don't even know what epithets to choose, I really liked everything, despite being fully booked these days and pleasantly tired. So, despite all this, the experience of our course will be used to improve the program, PMC Wagner has a thorough approach to everything, and our course was no exception. While learning Unreal Engine 5, I decided to port over most of Hyperion to it to see if I could potentially move my workflows over to UE5. Although it worked decently well, it didn't work well enough to allow me to change over entirely. Hyperion is simply too complex of an asset for real-time workflows (or at least is limited due to my knowledge of said workflows). 131 4K-8K UDIMs at over 8 channels and a solid amount of shaders with layering being the biggest bottleneck. I couldn't even match the shading setup to what I have in RenderMan, UE gave me a warning that the material was too complex. I was using the new Substrate materials, which mimic RenderMan LAMA shaders. The render below is using the pathtracer. As you can see there are some random flickering parts which I couldn't fix during my tests. This render of course doesn't have any displacement either (which Hyperion heavily relies on). I think Unreal Engine has a very bright future, but it is still limited by todays hardware technology for high end VFX work. Maybe in a few years I will give it another try when hardware improves and the engine becomes a bit more versatile in feature-set.

C Language is to be learnt by running experiments on Bare-metal (just the CPU) and without the OS noise! I added more lectures to the C Language course under the "Bitwise Operators" and the video (a snippet from the last lecture listed above) shows the level to which the course is hands-on. I pretty much prove all the claims I make about the concepts by experiments! Lectures I added include - + What are bitwise operations and the types + Shift Operations - Left, Logical and Arithmetic Right + The Bitwise NOT operation + Understanding using printf + Understanding the Assembly View + Exploring the Shift operations + Assembly view of Shift operation I have been recording this course for over a year now, 91 Lectures (almost all with hands on experiments) and we are far from concluding it. 🎓 Learn how to create a powerful Dynamic Snow gradient Map in a matter of seconds in my latest video series (AAA) Pro Tips! This special Map can be used to adjust the amount of snow coverage on any 3D asset straight inside a game engine or during in-game run time. In this video, the steps are as follows: 1. Bake out the following maps: World Space, AO, Curvature, and Position. 2. Create a fill layer and apply a dust generator to it. 3. Apply a histogram scan above the dust generator to preview the transition effect. 4. Add a Dirt 3 grunge just above the dust generator set to overlay. (This can be used to add small snowflakes around the pile of snow) 5. A blur slope filter can also be applied to the mask to help add randomness to it. 6. Apply the snow gradient information in a User Channel, that way the mask can be exported out of Painter. (Be sure the histogram scan is disabled before doing so) 7. You are finished and the mask is now ready to be utilized inside a Game Engine such as Unreal Engine or Unity. The breakdown of doing a Procedural Bridge in Unreal Engine with Dash is here! 🔥 You will see several of the procedural tools in Dash and how to use them together to create complex procedural setups. This bridge is only one out of many examples possible! Of course, this procedural bridge could be created with PCG as well, but with Dash, we believe we have made it much simpler, with no need to set up any complex node systems. If you like PCG and use it for creating procedural setups like this, we would love to hear your thoughts, is the Dash workflow a valid alternative, or can it be used together with PCG to improve your UE5 workflows?

I’m getting pretty sick and tired of all this antisemitism crap… The StopAntisemitism Founder says they are working with Google and SEO to follow and track you for the rest of your Life, and Cause you to Lose your Job, if they Find you to be Antisemitic “Antisemitism is not activism — it’s bigotry, and it will cause you to lose your job.— When you look for a job, when you look for a spouse, when you look for a nanny, when you look for anything, our work will always be documented..” OF COURSE… antisemitism is bad, and no one should hate any group. But that’s not what’s happening here… this is about thwarting Criticism against the Government of a foreign nation… The message here is simple, if you criticize the Government of Israel, we will do everything in our power to track you down and get you fired.

The new vid.fun tool is great for anyone who wants to create AI videos, their system uses AI agents to automatically generate complete film storyboards, images, video, VFX, and even music in seconds. How this works?! You just drop your idea into a box (can be a prompt, link, or even a PDF!) and the AI does the heavy lifting, researching, and gathering inspiration. Then you can pick from tons of style options or use your custom LoRA. The coolest part? You still maintain creative control! You can define and make adjustments to any part, without getting lost in complex editing software. For this work, I chose my Lora "Soft Sketch" and Luma for animation of course the agents automatically add soundtracks through Udio, or you upload your audio file. Has anyone else tried this yet?
