Just spray it with WD-40 and you don't have to take it apart. And the plastic survives.

Keep the clipped plastic and bond it back with the iron or just replace the cheap switch for f sakes

Right to Repair is simple: if you own something, you should be able to fix it or take it to a technician you trust. But for decades, big corporations have chipped away at this right by making repairs difficult, expensive, or even impossible. We need Right To Repair.
