‼️ UPDATE: 40 GB FILESIZE REDUCTION A massive texture compression overhaul is coming to #MarvelRivals with the Season 9.5 update this Friday, August 7th, which will decrease the game's filesize by 40 GB on PC and 15 GB on console.

Wish they would focus on in game optimization aswell, feels like every update takes another bit out of my pc.

Why don’t all game devs try to do this especially CoD and Fortnite

Finally. Turning off hd textures made the game so ugly and console had HD textures the whole time while half the size.

YEEEEEEESSSSSSS! The file size of this game is the main thing that keeps me from getting back into it. Thank god they're finally managing to reduce it even further. The games 81 gigs right now so dropping down to 40 (on PC) is lower than release which is awesome.

@Fortnite take note u frauds! Battle royale and reload shouldn’t be over 100GB I don’t play any other mode I shouldn’t be forced to download everything

Yeah. What a loadcrap of optimization. Compression = more CPU %. You couldn't come with a better solution instead of worsening the CPU usage with Compression-Decompression operation on the textures.. maybe.. something like a lower quality texture pack... MAYBE?

A 40 GB reduction is a huge improvement and should make updates and storage much easier for many players.

hopefully this helps once it releases on Switch 2
