#KRamp - Not liking a film is perfectly fine but a section of ‘early review’ media used the harshest of words in their reviews, as if they have some ‘grudge’ on the people associated with the movie. ‘No one can stop a film which offers genuine laughs’, this point is proved yet again. The good news is, proving the naysayers wrong, the film’s revenue has doubled compared to day one and is all set to perform even better utilising the festival holidays. As things stand today, the film is on track to become a clean hit. The scale and span of both films may be different. But K-Ramp and Waltair Veerayya, have a lot of similarities. A recent highlight of my career was impeaching Antifa-aligned activist Deana Sherif (using footage from her own livestream!) in a case where she accused my client of assault. “Impeaching” means challenging a witness’s credibility during a trial. I asked Deana whether she tried grabbing my client’s privates at any point in the altercation. She denied it, calling both me and the question “disgusting.” Then I played this video. My purpose was to show the Court that Deana is an unreliable narrator whose testimony should not be trusted. Ultimately, the judge found significant inconsistencies in Deana’s version of events and accepted much of my client’s account instead, as it aligned with the objective evidence. The Court did not reference this specific clip in its decision in R v Comtois but it was an exhibit at trial.
