This is happening because we have a broken judicial system and laws. Our own laws cannot even tell who is the right chief of Bawku leaving both sides of the divide to interpret the law in ways that favours them. Our judicial system is responsible for the blood shed in Bawku.

Police, Customs, and military personnel clashed in Bawku yesterday, with several warning shots fired over a misunderstanding regarding a Kia Rhino truck suspected of illegally transporting cocoa to a neighboring country. According to information obtained from key sources by EDHUB, officers from the Ghana Police arrested a Kia Rhino truck after it managed to beat some security barriers while heading toward the border. The police officers were transporting the vehicle to their station under the instruction of their commander when they were intercepted by Customs officers, who insisted on taking over the vehicle and sending it to Pulmakom. Update: Suicide Blast in Bannu - 10 May 2026 Details have now emerged about the suicide attack by IMP Khawarij militants targeting innocent civilians in Bannu on 9 May 2026. According to reports, police near Fateh Khel Police Station in Bannu stopped a suspicious vehicle that was heading toward a civilian area. When police intercepted the vehicle, the attacker detonated it. The powerful blast caused the roof of Fateh Khel Police Station to collapse. Nearby civilian homes also suffered heavy damage from the explosion. Due to the roof collapse, 13 police personnel and civilians were martyred, and 6 people were injured. Three of the injured are civilians. Youths In Agenebode Etsako Burn Down Police Station, Set Fulani Kidnappers/Organ Harvesters Ablaze Aggrieved youths in Agenebode, Etsako East LGA, Edo state have sacked the police station in their community. The issue began when a bubbling youth of the community was kidnapped recently. After ransom was paid the kidnappers were said to have gone ahead and killed off the young man. The community, resorting to self help, were able to trace the mobile phone of the slain youth (which was still in use by the kidnappers) to a Fulani settlement in the area. The community apprehended the suspects and handed them over to the police. However, upon noticing the inaction of the police regarding the case the community youths besieged the station and asked that the suspects be returned to their custody. The police refused to do so and in the ensuing chaos another youth was shot dead by the officers. This led to the burning of the station even as the officers took to their heels. The community retrieved the Fulani suspects and a number of them were slain immediately. The prime suspect led them to the shallow grave where the kidnapped Agenebode youth was killed and buried. Other mutilated and decomposing bodies were found and the suspect confessed to the fact that he and his group had killed several other people during their stay in the town. The decomposing parts of the slain youth was transported back to the main community. Video below.
