I find it mind boggling that in this day and age there are still people that somehow feel “threatened” by the mere presence of gay people in our world. Trust me, your masculinity isn’t at risk. If you feel it is seek counseling, you have the problem.

Even if it weren't a hate crime these days, It's still harassment under the Criminal Code, which is an offence punishable by summary conviction or by indictment. This offence currently carries a maximum penalty of ten years in prison.

And according to news reports, apparently the police obtained a search warrant and found a firearm he should not have had.

THIS is the ONLY way we're going to change bigotry (any form) in adults. Education is the right way to change bigotry in children.

I honestly cant thank U enough. U stand up & up for the folks that do nothing wrong & who are just trying 2 live their true lives. I remember running scared into lesbian bars back in the early 80's. It was a different time back then & 2 have this same BS going on is just awful!

We have freedom of expression, it is basically freedom of speech but with guard rails. Start ranting about race, orientation, colour, nationality, telling people to go back to their country, you are stepping into hate crime area.

Well as a Gay man I say thank you for all you do.. Yrs ago I had a guy come up to me and started with the slur’s etc. Then he took his finger and poked me hard in the chest and said well @#$& what are you do about it. I throat punched him.And walked away with people clapping
