One possible approach could be “canary” players. Basically fake player entities that look indistinguishable from normal players in the client’s player/entity list, but are placed somewhere impossible. A legit player would never interact with them, but cheats reading entity data may still try to track or aim at them. You could also rotate them constantly, despawning and spawning new ones. This way, the cheats can’t easily identify and filter out the fake entities. And since the server can see where a player is aiming, firing, and what they’re targeting, if a cheat snaps to one of these canaries, it could give itself away pretty quickly.
