One of the scariest experiences of a mother's life, seeing your child hurting. All I wanted to do was swap places with Lauren. Some victories deserve to be celebrated loudly, and this is one of them. Today, my wife was called to the largest Bar in Africa, and words can hardly express how proud I am of her. Let me tell you about the incredible woman she is. Her journey wasn't just about law school, it was about resilience. She resumed law school only to discover she was pregnant with our son, an unexpected blessing that wasn't part of our plan. Despite that, she went through lectures and the demands of the programme while carrying our baby. She wrote her final examinations while heavily pregnant, and just a week after returning home, she gave birth to our beautiful son. This is a mercy from Allah, and we are grateful. Today, she has achieved another remarkable milestone by becoming a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. She has also begun her service year. In less than a year, she embraced marriage, motherhood, law school, and now national service, with remarkable grace, faith, and determination. Watching her navigate all of these roles has been nothing short of inspiring. I'm incredibly proud of her. If you come across this post, please join me in congratulating her. This has always confused me. She tributes to Her dad about never giving up on her and her mom for being her strength in her high school yearbook post. But yet she always says her dad left her after the divorce and her she never had a strong female figure. She said her grandmother on her deathbed asked her to forgive her mom. She said her grandfather was the only male in her life. And she was kicked out at 14. Had to live with a boyfriend and pay for herself. So is she lying about her childhood? Why didn’t she say thank you to her grandfather she says raised her and taught her everything about being who she is? Does it seem weird to you or am I just being a Candace and reading too much into this? How does she say it? It’s not sending me the right vibes.

💝UPDATE ON HOPE 💝 Good news for Hope today ❤️‍🩹 Our gorgeous brave girl had a good night, and today, we have a little more energy and a waggy tail 🥰 She ate this morning for the first time and is definitely a little brighter. She is full of worms and has been throwing up bits of wood, plastic, and material that she has been eating - poor girl was just trying to survive. She is still being monitored, but I know she is feeling all the love we have for her already and will fight ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 Thank you so much to everyone for helping us save her. The response to her appeal has been amazing, and we really appreciate everyone’s support 💝

So, to share the details of my Daddy Daughter Dance experience. Mila LOVED everything about the day, and the dance. She loved her wrist corsage, which was expensive as hell ($35). She never left me, not once, even when her friends showed. We all danced together. For 90 minutes straight. She kept asking me to pick her up and dance with her, which is tough because she weighs about 50 pounds. My back is on fire. But we had a ball. This is her birthday weekend and we kicked it off in style.

One last thing I would like to say is about the Grand Sports Day. Charlotte seemed quite down from the beginning. Granted, maybe she was tired, but her usual spark just wasn’t there, and I assume it had to do with that person. Nevertheless, she did what was asked of her and didn’t let it show on camera or when interacting with her fans, because she is a professional. Her mood gradually improved as her friends kept lifting her spirits, especially when she interacted with that kid. You could clearly see she was happier again and kept fighting through, because that is how real and grateful she is for her fans, friends, and all she has right now. Yesterday, someone should have said something right there and then, because what he said was completely untrue. She was the one who collected the balls to help the staff. She came to help us get some air after one of the games by using the fan, because that is who she is. A considerate, kind, professional person who always thinks about others first and tries to fight her demons alone because she would not want to bother anyone with it. So this happened… These two little preemies were born in 40 degrees two days ago, we had no idea their mama was even pregnant. The short story is mama was a mastermind at sneaking in and out of areas she didn’t belong and the billy pen was one, I guess. No bag, we thought she was just chubby like the rest of them. Sneaky, as we called her, did not make it. Something ruptured during birth and she passed away yesterday despite all efforts to save her. On a beautiful sunny day, she joined Bartholomew under his tree. The babies got colostrum and after a day and a half of not wanting to suckle much or stand, they are eating, learning to get up and improving. Once they’re strong enough, they’ll go into the barn nursery and join the goatie herd. Both boys and both tiny at just over a pound each, they need names! We are open to all suggestions!
