This week, the team completed our most extensive shallow soil sampling survey yet, collecting samples from inside and outside the Durupınar formation, as well as from the sides and profiles of the formation itself. At the same time, Dr. Bakhtar deployed his specialized BakhtarRadar, reaching depths of up to 95 meters in some areas. The full dataset is still being processed, but the preliminary results are already extremely interesting. The data does not show solid bedrock directly beneath the formation. Today, Noah’s Ark Scans begins core drilling at the Durupinar boat-shaped formation, long studied as a possible Noah’s Ark site, under official Turkish permits. Core samples will be taken and the GOPHER drone sent in later this week to examine the interior. This is the first permitted study at the site, conducted with oversight and involvement of leading archaeologists and scientists. When we began this study, we promised to make the evidence irrefutable. The project is led by Turkish Professor of Archaeology Dr. Cenker Alita of Sivas Cumhuriyet University in partnership with Noah’s Ark Scans.
