🔥 A woman in Oklahoma was murdered over a TikTok she made on July 11th. Less than two weeks ago, Oklahoma mother of two, Sara Gilson, posted a viral TikTok that read: “Preparing for when Netflix drops a documentary about my soon-to-be ex-husband who I just found out is a pedophile.” She added one more chilling sentence: “I wish I was joking.” Then, on the night of July 23rd, police responded to Sara’s home in Owasso after a child inside the house called 911. Officers found Sara and her estranged husband, Jeremiah “Shawn” Duffey, dead from gunshot wounds. Investigators say Duffey shot Sara before taking his own life in an apparent murder-suicide. As more information has come out, the timeline has become even more disturbing. Court records show Sara had obtained an emergency temporary protective order just weeks earlier, alleging Duffey had threatened suicide, possessed a firearm, and fled after she confronted him. That protective order was still active at the time of her death. The same day Sara sought that order, another woman filed a separate protective order on behalf of her 15-year-old daughter. According to court filings, the teenager alleged Duffey—who coached the 15 year old's youth basketball team—kissed and touched her inappropriately, sent her messages, invited her to his hotel room during a tournament, and allegedly offered her money to keep quiet. The protective order in that case was also extended. Now a family is grieving and their two children have lost both of their parents. An absolutely devastating case. #SaraGilson #Oklahoma

I built a clone of the Yeezy store with Next.js. This was a fun challenge — the site has some smooth animations and feels very fast. But it was bothering me that I couldn't use the browser back button. Can we do better? So I rebuilt the site with v0 and Motion. Here's how it works: 1. When you click on a product, Motion is able to animate the original position of the product in the grid, to the zoomed in product detail page. 2. During this transition, we also shallow update the URL with the `/p/slug` route for the page. 3. If you press the back button in the navbar, or use the browser back button, or press escape — all options will take you back to the main product listing page. 4. If you reload the page while looking at a product, or someone sends you a link to a specific product, it still works! This is the best parts of a SPA and MPA mixed together. In the future, I can make this even better with View Transitions (I wasn't able to get the product animation just right, but if you can I'd love to see it!). I also took some creative liberties from the original design. The whole 1/2/3 size thing, where you needed to click the "?" to see SM/MD/LG was strange, so I just went directly to those sizes. Similarly, I prefered the more traditional style sheet/modal with the background color change, versus the full screen takeover. If you wanted to actually hook this up to Shopify now, you can swap the cart implementation with Next.js Commerce, which has all the APIs you need + optimistic writes 🔥 Should I make a video walking through the code?

Can't help but smile at this one. One of those stories I think we are going to look back and laugh at one day. ⬇️ James Voorhies was an uncommitted catcher (and a very good one) just over a year ago. Hadn't thrown a varsity inning on the mound. In October going into his senior year I played catch with him at the local elementary school. We threw on a crabgrass field and I told him after 15 minutes of playing catch that his arm, body type, and feel for the baseball were far too advanced for him to not be on the mound. James agreed to start throwing bullpens and "give it a shot". 3 weeks later I did a workout with some of our clients and James threw a bullpen on the game mound. He was 85-87 and absolutely pounded the zone. Threw 3 of the dirtiest changeups I’ve seen (we had played with a kick-change grip a few weeks prior). I had never seen him throw against hitters. Saw a 15 minute catch play session and his first bullpen in years. I Immediately sent the video to a handful of Division 1 programs that were on his list and gave them the scoop. “He's got zero track record but everything about him looks like a future pro arm”. Responses ranged anywhere from excitement to skepticism, which was 100% to be expected. Fast forward a few months to February... CSUN pulled the trigger before his high school season even started and James went on to post a 1.09 ERA, 83 IP, 60 H, 21 BB, and 83 K in his first year of pitching to help take College Park HS to the NCS championship. So here we are essentially 1 year after Jimmy started pitching full time and he’s up to 94 mph as a true freshman, with a win and a save in his first two collegiate appearances with 7.2 IP, 4 H, 1 BB, 13 K. Pretty cool story of a guy going “all in” on something new and different, and a college program taking a chance on a guy that they see future potential in. But the best part of this story and biggest point I want to make is that I firmly believe the reason Jimmy V was the guy that CSUN took a shot on was because of his makeup, work ethic, character, and competitiveness. Jimmy is one of the best “makeup” guys I’ve ever recruited or advised. He is the perfect combination of humble and confident and was the QB/captain of his football team in high school. Jimmy made it easy for CSUN to say “that’s the guy we want to take a chance on.” And yes, it helped that he was 6’4” and a big time multi-sport athlete with a ton of upside. It fires me up to watch Jimmy doing his thing at a very high level. He’s got a ton of good baseball ahead of him. @jam8svoorhies CollegePark Baseball Diablo Valley Baseball Club CSUN Baseball

Last Thursday I was having dinner with a friend at a regular shawarma spot near the subway. A guy he knew was sitting with us. Around 21, maybe 22. Hoodie, AirPods, beat-up backpack When the check came he grabbed it without a word. No discussion. Just tapped his phone and paid for all 3 of us My friend was not even surprised. Apparently this was not the first time I asked: what do you do? He said: "I copy wallets on Polymarket" I thought it was a joke. Or some trading guru with a $500 course But he explained it simpler than I expected "On Polymarket there are wallets that are consistently in profit. Not on 1 bet but on dozens in a row. I do not try to guess who wins the election or what the weather will be in Dallas. I just look at what a wallet with a 70+ win rate is doing and repeat it" He did not build models. Did not write scripts. Did not analyze news He opened Telegram and showed me a channel. Simple messages: wallet X entered position Y, price Z cents, market such and such Then he opened Polymarket and showed me his balance I am not going to name the exact number because he did not ask for that. But I will say this: it is enough for a guy in a rented apartment with 3 roommates to casually pay for dinner for 3 and not think twice I asked: "How did you figure out which wallet to follow?" He shrugged "That is the easiest part. Polymarket is blockchain. All trades are open. You go to the leaderboard, filter by win rate, look at history. If a wallet consistently enters positions at 3 to 8 cents and closes at a dollar that is not luck. That is an information edge" Then he added something that made me freeze "The funniest part is I do not even need to understand why he bets. I do not know where he gets his information. Maybe he is an insider. Maybe he has a model. Maybe he just reads news faster. I do not care. I see that he entered and I enter a minute later. The price usually has not moved yet" I came home and could not fall asleep Opened Polymarket. Went to the leaderboard. Started digging An hour later I found the wallet he was talking about → Starting balance was negative. Current balance is a 5-figure number. Win rate above 73%. Average entry 4 to 7 cents. Average win covers 10 to 15 losses I started monitoring it manually. Set alarms. Checked every 2 hours By day 3 I realized I cannot live like this I needed the same thing that guy had. A signal in Telegram that comes on its own the moment the wallet opens a position I found a bot that does exactly that → No delays. No manual monitoring. Wallet enters and you get a notification What you do with it is up to you. Copy it exactly, use it as a signal, or just observe 2 weeks have passed. I have not become that guy from the shawarma spot. Yet But I stopped guessing. And started copying Right now somewhere a smart wallet is opening a new position. The question is whether you find out about it in a second or in 24 hours when the price has already moved

My Prediction Market Tools list + Trading Workflow A) Tools I use: - Betmoar: Filtering + Analysing specific smart money wallets - HashDive - Prediction Market Analytics: Spotting volume and OI changes + whale flows - Polymarket Analytics: Comparing markets across different Prediction Markets - Polycule: Trading on the go - Polysights: Advanced Metrics related to volatility and trends B) My workflow: 1) I usually trade sports + crypto price prediction markets since I have some kind of expertise there 2) I use Betmoar to filter and find interesting markets. Try to enter new markets as early as possible since there are significant mispricings 3) I then use Hashdive to see what OI changes and whale flows are like for a particular market 4) Polymarket Analytics to compare markets across PM and Kalshi to see where I can get the best price 5) Trade directly through PM and Kalshi for now to execute if im on my laptop and Polycule when I'm not 6) I also check in daily on smart money wallets I follow on BetMoar to see if they've made any interesting trades recently I don't focus on Arbitrage, LPing or delta-neutral trades at all. Prefer to either take directional trades where I have an information edge or I'm early Sometimes I'll 'gamble' on sports markets because it's fun C) Takeaways for you: - Only trade in markets you have in-depth knowledge/edge - Being early is lucrative in prediction markets - Pro tools can save you hours trying to find alpha - Don't use too many tools. Use a few and master them instead - Everyone has their own process. Don't copy mine it won't work for you. The point of this tweet was to educate you on how you can build your own process LMK if there's any other useful tools I should check out that could optimise my workflow further!

I have always loved tales of courage in the face of long odds. Maybe that's why To Kill a Mockingbird has always been one of my favorite stories. In a world dominated by groupthink and mob rule, only one man had the courage to swim against the current. It was a world of suspicion, where rumors quietly whispered gave rise to groundless fears. I see parallels between that world and my own. Lucy sits in jail today as the mob kindles their torches and brandishes their pitchforks expecting a lynching, fueled by rumors fed by gossip and lies. She's a bit like Tom Robinson, the gentle black man falsely accused of having raped a white woman. It did not matter that he could not have done it physically. It fit the biases of a fearful society. Sometimes, even I have misunderstood Lucy. Years ago, we got three ducks. They seemed to bond with Lucy. They would sleep next to her and lay down pressed against her. Sometimes even on top of her. She endured it patiently. One day, we found one dead with what seemed to be bite marks on its back. Lucy was holding it in her mouth. Dolly Spice- Jones 🌱🎵 and I were shocked. We began to see her as a loose cannon; guardian and predator in equal measure. We kept her in the house the next few days. Soon another duck died, leaving only a pile of feathers. We observed the final moments of the third duck. Death came from the skies in the shape of an owl striking at dusk. We saw then that it had never been Lucy. Those were not bite marks. They were the marks of talons. Lucy must have come just too late. She was gently holding it because it had been her friend. She was sad. Sheepdogs are easily confused with wolves by the sheep. In reality, they are the only thing keeping the wolves from the sheep. Shortly after we moved here, a bear visited. We could see its footprints. It stayed out of our fields. Our sheepdogs guarded them diligently. The bear also didn't visit our neighbors' houses, where dogs, cats, and children may have been outside, oblivious to the danger that lurked nearby. Our barking dogs protected the neighborhood. One of the following days, it may have even been the next day, my wife got a text from a neighbor complaining about how the barking had made her hot tub less relaxing the previous night. Sheep don't understand sheepdogs. In To Kill a Mockingbird, Boo Radley was misunderstood. Horrific stories and childhood superstitions portrayed him as a monster. A boogeyman. He was neither. He was a sheepdog. He protected children and saved them from murder. Like Lucy protects her ducks. #SaveLucy, the dog who survived war. A few seconds of Lucy with geese and sheep.

➡️ The ZANU fighter was just defeated by a 60-year old guy. 😌 This guy, Themba Gorimbo, had the support of most Zimbabweans when he entered the UFC, because – what a great achievement and representation for our country! 👏🏾👏🏾🙌🏾 🇿🇼 Then, he made the quintessential error that many shallow Zimbabweans who find fame MAKE – he involved himself in regime politics ... because he saw it as a way to make a quick fortune. 💰💰 He started to ride high on ARROGANCE, and use his platform to insult and mock the opposition movement while promoting ED and ZANU PF regularly. He is especially known for stalking Winky D, and posting negative comments and mockeries about him, in order to please his ZANU masters. He thought that if he placed himself on the buttered side 🧈🍞 – the OPPRESSOR’S side - then he would be on the fast track to wealth, freebies and trinkets. 💵 Amateur mistake. When you’re a professional athlete there is no upside to playing politics. 🤷🏾‍♂️ You’ll just alienate many supporters unnecessarily, and attract controversy. You also draw negative attention to yourself internationally. MMA is a global sport and UFC is the pinnacle of the sport. So then he started losing supporters and attracting criticism ... but continued on his arrogant high horse, believing that his commitment to ZANU would pay off. Then when was CHOKED OUT in his last fight and lost consciousness in front of the entire world 😴- he thereafter had a "Damascus moment" when he realized that HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of UFC fans around the world were joyous about his humiliation! 😃 Especially when at one point he enjoyed widespread support and a growing fanbase - even the Rock had given him a house in the early days ... before Gorimbo showed himself to be an arrogant, toxic chump. 🤦🏾‍♂️ Then after being choked out he tried to “CHANGE” and win people over again, and started becoming anti-Zanu, etc. And it has worked for some people, but for a lot of OTHER people, including me (who was initially a HUGE fan), the damage had been done... 🙅🏾‍♂️ I always support Zimbabwean athletes and teams PASSIONATELY 🇿🇼 – but this guy has shown his true colours, and I find him to be unsavoury... He’s someone who tried to use his platform to benefit from the REGIME. He supported OPPRESSION and mocked the suffering of Zimbabweans, and efforts of the opposition. He is NOT a good guy. 😏 He is only now pretending to be in support of the PEOPLE because he has seen how supporting dictators will negatively affect his MMA career. It actually may be too late for him to redeem himself because even on the MMA twitterverse, I see a LOT of people from around the world posting negatively about his arrogance. They are also calling him a SCAMMER because of the library he had said he was building “in his village” and apparently people donated money, but there is ZERO library in existence 🤔- and when he has been pressed to explain he has been saying to critics that he built ¾ of the library and then he had to tear it down for some reason... 👀 I will always view him as a “ZANU fighter” because that’s what he proudly was for a long time, and has now realized his miscalculation ... and trying to pretend to be otherwise. Anyway, good luck to him. Because these days KARMA is visiting him.
