If she really was insane, her suicide would have been successful. Anyone trying and failing to commit suicide has a subconscious and does not want to kill themselves. She knew she killed her children. She knew what she did was wrong and tried to commit suicide because of it. Her subconscious did not allow her to follow through, because she did not want to kill herself as the end goal. She is guilty of murder and she knew what she did.

A Person who has no issue killing a child in the womb will surely have no issue with one being killed outside of it.

The children aren't the only victims. The husband is the only living victim. Why is the husband/father so often forgotten? He lost three children that day. And he lost his wife. He went from running errands to a life about as horrifically upside down as it could get, in moments.

The jury still needs to be convinced she was insane. Maybe the prosecution did enough for that one juror to believe that was disproved. Someone who meets the insanity burden shouldn't be able to have the foresight to tie up her husband so she could kill the kids underinterrupted. Just the fact she knew the husband would interfere speaks volumes about her grasp on reality.
