This leaves the routes traveled, along with the freight, exposed to whoever is driving. Their Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) record it all, and hundreds of ELDs, potentially thousands, are based overseas.

Passengers allegedly had to navigate between freight wagons in the dark just to reach their train. A simple question: When did freight trains become more important than passenger safety? If this happened, who approved it? Why wasn't the express brought to the platform? What safety measures were in place for women, children, elderly passengers, and those carrying luggage? DHANBAD DIVISION cannot treat passengers like obstacles and freight like priority. Ministry of Railways
