For the first time in a while, it feels like the left is actually stepping up to push back against the H-1B misinformation and the growing anti-Indian rhetoric online and in real life. Hasan Minhaj just dropped an excellent breakdown on the whole H-1B / “Indian narrative” and it hits on a lot of the misinformation that’s been floating around unchecked. The head of Ai Policy at Meta is an ex-IDF soldier which is a hugely influential position and can create policies that let the AI systematically remove Pro-Palestine voices from as my FYP’s as possible via shadow bans and outright banning of these accounts. Meta has a long history as a platform that silences speech and this only serves to continue this strong legacy.
