This “model” in this video does not account for the following observations: 1. The face of the Moon is always circular, not elliptical, when viewed from anywhere on Earth. In contrast, the Moon in this video appears oval at most points. Good catch, @LevEyal111! 2. On a given day, the phase of the Moon is exactly the same from anywhere on Earth. 3. The setting Moon is rotated vertically compared to the rising Moon. 4. A rising Moon appears from under the horizon top-first, and a setting Moon disappears below the horizon bottom-first. You’ll neee a spherical Moon to explain #1. But a spherical half-lit Moon🌗 on flat Earth would appear half to some and full to others, thus invalidating #2. #4 is also a problem faced by the Sun on flat Earth. The moon has to be substantially far away in order for everyone on earth to always and only see one side of the moon. The moon has to be very close in order for it to approach the horizon in order to rise and set. Feel free to explain exactly how the flat earth rectifies this.

Now stand under the moon then compare it to the shape when looking at it from an angle. It would be a perfect circle when it's right above your head and more oval shaped when it's at an angle near the horizon
