I sat down and produced this track 11/11/24… then decided I wanted to take it further… so I LiDAR scanned a few key pieces of my analog gear I used to produce the music with, I put all these elements together to created an audiovisual representation of my surreal experience of capturing fragments of analog sounds digitally. @Scaniverse #LiDAR #scaniverse #3DGS #Splat

Music is my compass 🧭 When producing music I almost never see the whole picture, things are fragmented, and it’s my task to make sense of the noise, to turn sounds into music. “Urban Decay” is my dark synthwave exploration into capturing digital bits and pieces of my analog world of music production.

Combining technologies and sensory experiences has always been a fascination of mine, with “Urban Decay” I used LiDAR/Gaussian Splats captured with scaniverse app to create the visuals in this release… put your nerd hats on if you dare to read further. To me sound is where I always start, inside the frequency spectrum of sound, I start composing and sculpting what I feel to create a vibe, strong enough to push my imagination and suspend my disbelief. Using the various synthesizers I’ve collected along the years is always a big part of the music production that is unseen in the modern digital album release. I wanted to bring this back in a new way with this release. Light is also frequency… and the relationship between sound and light is where I get really interested. I used my mobile phone to capture pieces of my studio that I used to compose this music… millions of light point data packets captured and rendered into the video along with the music. If you’ve read this far congratulations (dm me for a gift)… along with the light data, there is also GPS data gathered, I see a use for this in the future… tying together all these elements is a mission I am continuing to explore creatively. The possibility of dropping my audiovisual art in specific locations is on the horizon (quite literally). First I give you a new perspective into my music production.
